Guess what? We have an official job and we'll be working almost every day!
Mitch and I have discussed our pay scale with mom and dad and there is a lot of ice cream and hamburgers and pizza and apples involved!
I'm head supervisor! My job today was to make sure that mom took the dirty hurricane braces from this cart that was inside the barn............
Over to dad who was scraping off hay and bat poop, etc, etc!
OOPS! Mom must have done something wrong because Mitch came rushing over to straighten her out in a hurry! Look at his ears!
Good job, Mitch! We want to make sure this job is done right!
Mom was scrubbing the braces until they were the prettiest honey color and then placing them in the sun to dry! After they were dry, we supervised them being loaded onto another cart and stored back inside the barn to be treated with a preservative on another day yet to come!Remember the barn that dad and his friends dismantled and they came home with baby barn swallows that unfortunately didn't make it?
Well, this barn is now being cleaned and restored and there will be a barn raising next year to put it back up!
We are going to be busy, busy doggies for quite awhile!
We're working dogs!
So until next time................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

ReplyDeleteWonderful Mother's Day is spent, and it is happy.
And, it is swallow's season also in Japan.
The house where the swallow builds the house prospers.
There is a swallow that is waiting for the restoration work of the barn there.
It applauds the swallow not defeated at time of every day when m & m is busy. :D

ReplyDeleteHi, Maggie and Mitch -
ReplyDeleteYou both do a great job supervising your Mom and Dad. We hope you got lots of pizza and treats.
That picture of Mitch with the "flying ears" is classic. Mama had a good laugh - she had a hard day at work today. Computer work is really tough on the brain.

omdog so cool to save the wood and then make a whole new barn out of it. We can't wait to see how it turns out!!
ReplyDeletek, we thought you both got jobs as tasters at the DQ. But tese jobs are just as important. Your dad must be quite a craftsman, and we don't mean that he's a tool. Work safely.
