Goodies from Barktoberfest

As promised, we'll share the must-have goodies that mom bought Sunday at Barktoberfest.
First off - mom says that it is literally impossible to stand in front of Carol Usher's Wooliedales and not drool all over yourself! Her work is fabulous to see in person and you want to buy everything you see!

You can't imagine how large these two Dales in this chair are and how cute and how tempting. Mom was secretly planning on where she'd put it in the house if she came home with it?!
So far mom has behaved herself on this issue but she did purchase this guy!
Macintosh Mitch is not at all happy that this thief has come to live with us!
Of course all of those apples are for him but this boy has other ideas! Geez, he needs a name! Any thoughts, you guys?
He is very regal and very handsome but very cagey!
And you'll probably want to know why Mitch is looking so depressed. Dad left yesterday morning to go back to Rhode Island for the whole week. Mitch started to miss dad before his truck even got to the end of the driveway! That boy sure loves hanging with his dad!The second goodie that mom purchased was made by artist Lynda Pleet! Mom used to see these on ebay a couple of years ago and always thought of bidding on one but was never quite sure! And now that she saw it in person - SOLD! And the money goes to Airedale Rescue so you can't go wrong!
We were outside yesterday afternoon while mom vacuumed the car and washed the windows! She wondered how all of those new snool marks got there seeing as she had just washed the windows the morning before we left for Barktoberfest!
Sheesh - how should we know? *wink wink*
This is our burning bush in its autumn glory~
So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  2. Ooooooo! We looooove your mom's new Wooliedale! How about naming him Snapple. That would be kind of a combination of Aire-snap and apple. Heeheehee! He's gorgeous. We hope Mitchy doesn't get too jealous.

  4. Hey there M&M
We would so love to have been at that fest....we have now fallen for these little felties in a big way. Perhaps the 'special wires' also had something to do with this.
Anyway, those two and their apples are gorgeous. Names?...mmmm...Max1 & Max2 (hehehe)...or MAXI & MINI!

  6. Mitch,
Don't be so sad about your dad! You have all those new, fabulous airedale things! Hmmmm... I wonder if Miss Carol could knit my a wooliedale beard???
Yes, I can still wear bows!! I'll be thinking about a good name for your new wooliedale.... you had better keep an eye on those apples!

  7. Thank you for sharing your picture with the lovely bush. You guys are so well behaved. Me n Teka would be under it, and all you would see would be terrier butts.

Pee ess...When we are "on the road" windows have to get washed (inside) two times a day so they don't become a hazard. hehehehe

  8. Somebody in this house was happy to get up this morning to see your new Carol Usher wooliedale AND your new Lynda Pleet sculpture! She says as soon as some other projects get finished (as if) she's gonna start poking again. We like that 'cause she sits down and we can cuddle somewhere nearby. We don't like it when she pokes herself!

That Barktoberfest looked like it was a pawsome day. Dream about your memories while your dad is gone, Mitch, and he'll be back before you know it!

  11. My Mum bought some Woolie tags to use for Rescue projects. They came in aire-mail yesterday! She's really excited and says she can't wait to get a real one when she can 'ford it? I think Snapple is a funny name. Luke used to follow Mom around to share her apples every day before he went to the RB. She swore he had a ESP- as soon as that fridge door opened and she had one in her hand, he was there sitting in the kitchen waiting for his apple slices. I eat apples with her now so she doesn't get sad without him to share them with.

Snool- we had a lot of that on our front door yesterday, but it got cleaned off - wonder how long it will take to get it back? hehehe!

  14. Yourome nice loot. Our Mom is jealous. She loves to collect doggy things. We don't understand it. She has all of us, why does she need those itty bitty doggies that don't run and jump?

  15. Those were some wonderful things your mom bought. Mom thought of a name that might be cool. There was a famous "gentleman cat burglar" in England by name of Sir Raffle Montgomery. He would go to all the well to do events and suss out his next target - but he only ever took the tastiest (best)of his victims goodies.

  24. Tell poor Mitch to not be sad, just think about how happy he will be when Dad returns home.

And Teddy sez that Mitch & or Maggie can have his top knot, cause he don't want it.

Have a fun Halloween and Fall Harvest!
