She's At It Again

Our hallway has not been painted in over 20 years so mom says that this will be the next project!
The walls will be antique white and the trim color will be different - bye bye blue!

It's coming along!  The walls are no longer yellow - they're white!
Do you think we can talk her into more Airedale stencils?

It's very boring at our house. All mom wants to do is work on this stoopid hallway! She says it's fun!  Our idea of fun is a whole lot different!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch

  1. Maggie and Mitch-
Now you will have a clean slate to leave Aire-dirt. Our walls, especially by the doors, have Aire-dirt (why stencil, heehee)

  4. Yes, we'd love to hire your Mom out for some painting projects...fun? Parental Unit is a compulsive cleaner-that's what she considers fun! So she will happily clean up after you paint...:-)

  5. Yes, moms have a weird idea of fun. Real fun is running outdoors and playing. Maybe our moms need to change their priorities :)

  6. Maybe you could help your mom. Use your paws as a brush....

  7. Humans never seem happy with things just the way are, especially moms. I have found the best way to deal with it is simply lay on your bed and sigh a lot :)

  8. If the first photo is the "before," the walls are amazingly clean for a doggie house. After only 3 years, lots of my walls need repainting. I think walls just suck dirt off the dogs and that's why so little dirt comes off Alanis when I bathe her.

  9. Maybe if you keep throwing a ball for her to chase she'll lose interest in the hall.

  10. You Mom has been bit by the re-do bug - Mom wishes it would bite her too as there are many areas here that could use some new looks. Let's hope your Mom needs to take a few breaks from her work and give you two some attention AND some treats.

  12. Hi Maggie & Mitch,we gave up ever trying to understand humans.
We suggest you look for a nice contrasting colour and dip your paws in.
Then go along the wall pressing your paws against the wall.
We can assure you that will look wonderful andyour humans will thank you..........not at first.......but once they come to appreciate your artistic talent.

  15. That looks really pretty!! So white!! This house we have hasn't been painted in some rooms for 10 years and it looks bad. The white is yellow looking from that "clean" gas heat we have! I would have to hire somebody to do it though...the last time I painted somebodies walls, I had more paint on me than the walls!! Don't forget to stop and have some fun!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

  17. Hi Maggie & Mitch,

Our house is the same color it was when my mom and dad moved in, some 13 years ago. We weren't here yet but our great uncles were. We came along about six years ago. We don't really care what color the walls are as long as it's home. But your mom is always welcome to come up for a visit to do our walls :)

Your hallway looks good in the before pictures to me!

  51. Hi Maggie and Mitch, M.O.M. has been into the painting thing a lot lately too. And of course when she is on the ladder I don't get much walking activities or even very many doggie biscuits.
Speaking of doggie biscuits...the ones you guys sent in my Christmas gift exchange were sooo wonderful. But for some very strange reason they have all disapeared! Hmm, I was sure I didn't eat that many. Well, Maybe M.O.D. snuck me a few when the boss lady wasn't looking.
    Sheez!

  57. Hi, Maggie and Mitch -

Your Mom is so talented. But we agree painting is really boring. Kaci and I like the idea of the airedale stenciling but what would be better than muddy paw prints on the walls?!?
