True Colors Thursday - Tomato Red

We're playing True Colors with Reilly and Denny again this week.
This week's color is
 

Mom is thawing fresh tomato sauce out for this weekend's pasta dindin. Those tomatoes were grown in our garden this summer!  yummm
 Can you see the tomato red on our taco that Jazzi made us?
 The twist~
We didn't have tomato soup in a can so we used tomato paste in a can.

The tomato paste treat machine!


That was fun! We can't wait for next week!

    Ahhhhhh! Home made tomato sauce! Sadly, ours has to come from a jar because we didn't get enough tomatoes to freeze any. Years ago, my mom's mom canned tons of tomatoes and my dad made great chili with them! Our chili has never been quite the same since my Grandmy went to heaven.

    Mom is making a pasta dinner tonight - Phantom will be in heaven. But we think it would taste a lot better if we had some sauce like yours.

    That's a lot of tomato red. Our tomatoes are green at the moment, so we wouldn't be able to use them.

    Ohhhhhh we want that tomato paste treat machine......is it paw operated :) :) How cool to have lots of tomato suce made....Mom should of done with all the tomatoes we had...but we didn't have the freezer room.

    Oh home grown tomatoes, we miss our so much and I miss not having any in the freezer too. I didn't put up but 3 batches and the are gone!!

    Oh, my mom LUVS red. If she could paint every wall in our house red, she'd prolly do it. But dad says that would be like living in a "board-ello," whatever that is.
