I'm playing True Colors with Reilly and Denny again this week.
This week's color is pearl gray~
Mom can't wait for color in the garden. It's so drab in February.
This is a fire back that leans against the back wall of a fireplace. It's made of cast iron. It absorbs the heat and throws more of it back into your room rather than sending it up and out the chimney.
The twist~
A gray day with our Witch Hazel coming into bloom!
See you all next week!
Love ya lots,
Mitch

ReplyDeleteYou always have such interesting things for True Color Thursday! We have never heard of a "fire back", but it is very cool...or should I say HOT!

ReplyDeleteIt's very nice and so is the garden pedastal. Thanks for showing them to us!
I love grey as a neutral, but generally do pair it with a big, strong splash of color!

Pearl Gray...That's what it looks like outside today!
ReplyDeleteIt also looks like pearl gray here today. Your Mom always finds such great things to show off the colors. Mom had never seen a fireback screen. It not only is beautiful but sounds like it does a good job of helping with heat!!

We have some winter blooming witch hazel too. It is so nice to see some color during the drab winter.

ReplyDeleteHey there Mitch,
ReplyDeleteHope your family is feeling more at peace after Maggie's passing. I had to pop around today to see how you are doing. Must admit Grey is not my favourite colour, but your post suggests the hope of Spring - and that is always positive.
