Good and Not so Good

First of all - thank you all so much for all of the crossed paws and POTP!  It really and truly does work!

The good news is that I don't have Lyme disease - yes, I was tested again.   I saw my vet on Monday morning and he gave my leg a very thorough work out.    He thinks maybe I could have a sprain?  Mom and dad both think that the disease is progressing but they really don't like to think about that too much.  It makes them sad.
I got another small taper on my prednisone and I'm taking gabapentin again.  The first time around, I had no reaction to three pills per day.   This time it's making me loopy and drowsy and very unsteady on my feets.  I keep bashing into things and I can't come downstairs by myself.  The peeps are very afraid that I'll tumble down and land on my head.

The better news is that my vet called yesterday and I can decrease the number of times per day that I take gabapentin if the loopiness continues.

I have to rest lots and no walkies for me until I improve.
Last night, we helped mom make dinner.    She made ravioli with a broccoli, mushroom  and spinach topping.
You can clearly see that I'm so "drunk" on that stoopid pill that I'm not even close to snagging that piece of broccoli!
Molly had no problem with the spinach.  And our evil mom wouldn't like us have a mushroom!
But we did score a mouthful of the ravioli☺
Yummmmmmmmmmmm~~
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

  12. Dearest Mitch we are really sorry about the wobbly stuff, and we know that is worrisom for your peeps. Hazel takes gabapentin too for her neck pain. She takes a liquid form cause she is so little the pill dose is not small enough. Mom & Dad have noticed she is not as steady on her feet sometimes. We hope things can get figured out so you are not so loopy.
    hugs

  13. Well, good on the no lyme news, especially given where you live. But bummer on the meds making you loopy. We hope the lowering of the dose helps. Those ravioli look very tasty. We think we might like the spinach but would pass on the mushrooms.
