My Fun Morning

On Sunday morning, Molly went with dad to help Uncle Bill with his timber frame project.
Have fun, Molly!   I'm going to have some fun of my own!

Mom and I took a short walk outside.
I"m looking for that pesky chipper!
For the last couple of days, I have been having issues with stumbling and limping.  Mom holds her breath every time I go up and down the stairs and I didn't get walkies because she thought that the distance on the road wouldn't be any help to me at all.
She will be calling my vet today to make an appointment.    We already know that he'll be stealing my blood to make sure my liver isn't being compromised from these powerful drugs that I'm on and mom and dad want to know what his thoughts are on my stumbling issues and if we can't do something to help me out.

Love ya lots♥
Mitch

  9. Hi Mitchie and Mom
When Sambal was on really high doses of prednisone, the vet said to give her lots of omega 3 to combat the bad effects. She ate special food that was high in 3s and took extra fish oil even day. It kept her liver and other organs protected. We've got our paws crossed for you buddy.

  14. Mojo says only the best pups stumble, because she does it a lot these days with her hip stuff. Getting up stairs and into cars undermines her dignity. She does, however, still have a mighty crush on Mitch so he can rest assured that his charisma is undimmed. She's off to the vet tomorrow for more checks too, so we'll all be thinking of Mitch and sending him POTP. xxxx

  18. Hey Mitch, we are sorry you are having some trouble there. We hope the vet can fix you up so you can enjoy your walks with Mom. We got some of those pickles too, but Mom says she needs to pass them along to some pup who will play with them. She even put food in them for us. Guess we just are pickle pups:)

  20. Oh goodness so sorry. We had a lab that had liver disease. It was managed for many years with prescription dog food. We also had a dog that had seizures the drugs that were suggested caused liver disease.
But our vet also did accupuncture and suggested we try to avoid the liver problems. It worked thankfully. And much cheaper than drugs and then liver problems and special food. We were grateful.
I hope you get good answers from the vet.
About the book. I wished that I had asked for a give a way copy. It's a keeper! You will enjoy. It is a light fun read. I read in only a couple of days. Hope your week goes great!

  22. Dear Mitch,

It is nice to have your person to yourself sometimes, no?

I am sorry to hear about your stumbling, friend. We hope it is nothing too bad and that Vet can make it go away. My person always says, "Getting older is fun and easy!" And then she either laughs or cries. I'm not sure what this is about. What is sarcasm?

We are sending you many healing licks and wags!

  26. More of us here who are well able to relate to "old dog" issues. I stumble, Teka limps. I have bumps, she has "bladder issues." We are both very jealous of that new baby. But our Aunt Marie told us "it is hell getting old, but it beats the alternative!" Much love from all of us.

  27. Dear Mitch, That is pretty scary when you stumble or fall. As we get older, it happens a lot to people. I am crossing my fingers and Hunter his paws in hope that it is nothing serious.
