Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

I saw my vet this past Tuesday and I got vaccines so I'm getting closer to walking.   He does want me to wait a couple of weeks before setting out on the road.  In the meantime, mom has discovered a great training site that will help me not to puppy pull so hard on the leash and in time, be a better puppy walker.

We have chives in bloom in the garden!

I think I like the scent of the lavender!
Mom was gifted beautiful dahlias for Mother's Day!
While I was playing in the puzzle room, I got interested in one of angel Molly's interactive toys.    Mom pulled it out and dropped a training treat in each of the compartments and I was having a grand time getting them out!  The funny part is that I was able to open all of the boxes but I was forgetting to grab the treat after all that work.
Happy Friday, everyone!

Love ya lots♥
Duke

  1. I love you chives Duke - and congrats on being such a good puzzle solver. I rather like the idea that you are motivated by the intellectual challenge as much as the smell of the treat inside. Sounds like you are going to be one clever k9.

  2. Can't wait until you get to do walkabouts, what an amazing new experience it will be for you ... in the meanwhile, work with your Mom on that "leash-pull stuff", it's very im-paw-tent you know. Happy Friday!

  4. Duke,
I agree with Ann I can hardly wait to see you and Mom trekking on the trails around they city.
I just noticed your entire name and it is so fitting....
Duke I think it is just Dandy that you are finding the treats in Angel Molly's treat box..but I might have giggled at not eating them. I can assure you if I found a treat (especially chocolate) it would be gobbled.
Sue I'm so happy you have a spot to work on walking while Duke's vaccines take effect

  8. Hi Duke!
We're sure that, with the help of your dear mom, you'll soon get the hang on walking nicely on the lead. Did Gail ever mention the walking on the lead exercise at my (not very helpful) puppy class that ended up with me getting soft cheese from a tube squirted all over my beard and face...?
The flowers are lovely, especially the deep red dahlias.
But a word of advice on the interactive toy Duke. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
    Toodle-oo!

  9. You are too cute Duke....we like you you were more interested in finding the treat instead of eating it BOL!

Such beautiful flowers this week. Mama really misses the dahlias in California and loved seeing your Mama's!
    Have a pawesome weekend!

  11. That looks like a great training site, Duke. No puppies here:( but we bet our Mom could learn a thing or two from watching those videos. We hope you get to go for a long walk soon. You showed us some lovely blooms today
