Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy and Sunny this week for Nature Friday~~

This past Monday was the last time we were out for walkies because mom says that the temps have been too cold and blustery to be walking out there safely.

We did find a bunch of flowers - but they were silk ones and not real ones~
Inside the house, another African Violet decided to make mom smile.
Our Christmas Cactus is budding up~
I kept busy yesterday while mom watched Jimmy Carter's funeral on TV.
Happy Friday, everyone!
Love ya lots♥
Duke

  1. It is never too cold or snowy for walking at our house according to our mom and we all are happy to be out in any winter weather. We don't like being out in the heat and rain but we still have to go out every day for our regular walks. Hope you get better weather soon.

The silk flowers are very pretty and do well as a substitute when nothing else is on offer - but then that violet and the cactus... lovely. Hugs and wags YAM-auntyxxx

  5. You are so cute in your coat, Duke. That violet is so pretty! Our parents aren't letting us spend much time outside in this super cold weather either.

  6. Duke I thank you and mom for the silk flowers and OMDs the Cactus...I always enjoy seeing it.
Your last photo is worthy of a magazine cover. Don't laugh but I must tell you
"today as we await the first snow in Raleigh in 1007 days...yes 1007. We have snow coming at about dark turning into freezing rain overnight...stopping mid morning Saturday, refreezing Saturday night. brrrrr"
    Love you lots

  7. What a collection of fun times and great memories -

We hope you'll get some more snow - and more than your 'dustings' -

Mom was sad her work Thursday was too khrazy to be able to catch any of one very very special human - now forever holding hands with the love of his life -

  9. We haven't had a walk since last Saturday. Yep, too cold but mostly because it is treacherous walking, and we can't take a chance on Mom falling. Maybe next week. Nobody clears their sidewalks around here. We don't have a sidewalk but we know our peeps would have it cleared if we did. You found some pretty flowers. We have had a couple of buds on our cacti too but not a lot like in other years.

  11. Duke I once saw a dog wearing an all-over snow suit (even his tail was covered up). He had been in the mountains in Norway (in deep snow). Big icicles had formed on the little bit of fur that was showing through the 'toileting' hole in his suit. The suit even had a hood on it! (And he had snow boots.) A bit excessive don't you think? He could just wait for better safer weather.

  12. Java Bean: "Ayyy, I guess one good thing about silk flowers is that they won't fade and drop petals ... At least, not for a very long time!"
