A Tale Of Two Piggies

Mitch and I each have our very own piggies! Mitch got his blue one on his gotcha day in March and I just got my pretty pink piggie for my birthday!
That's right, Mitch! The blue one is yours and the pink one is MINE!
You will notice that mine is still clean and looks brand new and Mitch's piggie has a hole in it already!
If you would take care of your stuffies, these things wouldn't happen, Mitch!
Now don't be eying my piggie, Mitch! You can have your dirty old ripped one! I'm keeping mine clean and pristine!

Your poor piggie must hurt from having that huge gash in his back! Maybe if you ask mom, she'll sew your piggie up - good as new again!
Thanks so much for offering to patch me up, Mitch's mom! I owe you!
We got tagged by Twinkle to open our picture folder and to post a picture that has never been posted on our bloggie before! This was tough because most of the pictures in our bloggie folder have been posted but we don't think this one has ever made it to the blog!

This picture was taken while we were waiting for dad to come back to the truck with FOOD - either ice cream or Glenwood hamburgers or Lenny and Joe's fish sandwiches, we can't remember which!
So now we're drooling just thinking about it!
So until next time....................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  1. Maggie, you take such good care of your stuffies! We are more like Mitch when it comes to stuffie destruction! We hope his piggie survives!

  2. Hi Maggie, Mitch,
Bambi loves her stuff toys too but they don't last long. I sew then up until I just can't anymore. Then she gets a new one! I put some new pictures up for you to see, on my blog.

  5. That's a battle I don't think you will win. Sooner or later he will get his dale jaws on your pretty pink stuffie and perform his magic. Enjoy it while you can.

  6. Those are some nice piggies you got there! My mom has what she calls the "infirmary", where my stuffies go to have surgery after my brother & I play too hard with them! Some of them must be hurt pretty bad, since it takes weeks for them to come back out from the recovery room (or is it because my mom gets too busy doing other less important things, like work!)

Snorts (and go easy on the piggies, Mitch)

  7. We love the piggies. We have a rule around here though: Any Stuffie can only be repaired three times. Muzzer says at that point....bye bye stuffie.

    You guys are sure lucky!

  8. They just don't make stuffies like they use too, they seem to get holes in them so easily. I have a moose that has been repaired dozens of time, it now has a sock over the body as mom ran out of areas to stitch!! I must say I like those piggies though

  12. Hi M & M - happy Tuesday. I prefer my pigs in the form of treats... piggy twists are my favorite.

  13. I think I see just the perfect color thread to sew up Blue Piggy!

Maggie, you better keep an eye on Pink Piggie!

  14. You seem to have a much clearer understanding than we do. Here it's what's Just Harry's is Just Harry's and what's Jake's is Just Harry's.

Two similar toys -- one for each of us -- but the only one he wants is the one I have.

Good thing I am such a mature/self-confident dog that I don't get in a tither over it or we would be always tithering. (Instead of barking!!)

  19. What a cute pink piggie!!

Phantom really doesn't play much with stuffies, he just likes to carry one to the door when he is ready to go outside. TD loves to play with stuffies and is usually pretty good with them, BUT every now and then he decides to perform surgery on them.
Cute drooling pic- thanks for sharing.

  20. Your piggies are very cute, though it looks like Mitch has loved his a lot.

And we like that look of anticipation on your face!

  21. Some of us like to play nicely with our toys and keep them in good condition, but some of us like to destroy them. Mom collects the torn ones and when she gets a bag full, she sews them up and we start over again.

  22. Oh my...I just destroyed my stuff goldfish the other day, Maggie...I never rip up a stuffie, but this was delectable...Mumsie fixed it, with her sewing kit...Scruffy just kills them within seconds...

Loved the pic of you two bein' droolin' dales...you should see the mess Stanny makes droolin' when he's waitin' for his dinner!!

    Love ya!

  24. hey kiddos, you are lucky that your mom will repair your broken piggy, Mitch. our mom just sends our broken toys to the garbage can. but we always think that the proper way to play with a toy is to destroy it. that way there is no question that it was thoroughly enjoyed!

    woofs!

  25. Hi Maggie and Mitch,
I have a pink piggy too. Mine makes funny noises when I squeeze it. It's not as clean and pristine as yours though - I take mine in the garden ... and the mud ... and the rain. I think piggies like mud ...

  27. I'm just like you, Maggie. I figure it's best to take care of stuffies so that they last forever. Unfortunately my new housemate, Tagpi, is more like Mitch and loves to chew up my toys. I hope your piggie lives a long life with you.

  28. Boys are so much rougher with their toys. I don't think we can help it.:)

  30. We wonder who the real piggie is...hehehee..

  31. At least Mitch is better than Tanner, that Piggy would be in about 39 pieces if he had it. Your piggy looks perfect!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maggie, your piggie is clean and pristine now, but even after you've loved on it for a while, like Mitch has his, it'll be just as perfect and just as specially yours. We think all those pretty colors that your mama has to stitch them up with will make them both beautiful for as long as there is piggie to patch. But, in the meantime, we hope that the boundaries are clearly established and you have time to enjoy your new pink piggie all to yourself.

Hungry, after looking at those drooling over the thoughts of food photos,
    Jake and Fergi

  35. Good gal Maggie for taking good care of your pinkie. As for Mitch, hmm, I'm sure he'll do better when his piggie gets healed. =P

I have my fav toy too that I'll hug to sleep everynight. It's a must have and I know that it must have me too. =P Aren't we altogether cute?

  37. Wow - stuffies do not stand a chance with that Mitch. Glad your humans know stuffie first aid. We are both really well behaved with our stuffies - although Paddy likes to bury his by the jasmine...

    Lots of licks

PS Love the photo - definitely waiting for food faces...

  38. Careful dude - Big Pupi will come kick your bum if he finds out that you're shredding a stuffy. He takes his stuffy care SERIOUSLY! I never get to have any stuffy disemboweling fun around here!

  39. I wonder if I had something that was PINK if my brothers would leave it alone? Well, I don't mind if Zim would share it. But I wonder if Dave would leave it alone? I need to try this.

  40. These younger brothers are very hard on the stuffies. Agatha and Archie warned me that I would have to hide my stuffies from Ambrose and I see that you have to guard yours from Mitch. Good Luck with that Maggie.

  41. Hi, Maggie and Mitch -

You look like you are really enjoying your ice cream.

Kaci plays with her stuffies nice like Maggie but I like to destroy mine. I have two ducks with no feet wings or beak.
