Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!
Henrietta and I are in the kitchen today and we're making a chicken recipe! No offense, Henri! We're making chicken parmesan for the family for dindin tonight! You'll need a large frying pan. Pour in a little bit of olive oil - enough to just cover the bottom of the pan!Shake in quite a bit of garlic powder and then add the raw chicken breasts!
The next step is to sprinkle a little bit of oregano over the tops of the chicken in your pan and then top it with tomato sauce! This sauce just happens to be my dad's sauce!
Yup, he makes his own and boy oh boy, it is sure yummy!
Now sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top of it!Cover the frying pan and turn the heat up to get the mixture good and hot and almost to the boiling point!
Now turn the heat back down to a slow simmer and simmer the chicken for 45 minutes! Your house is going to smell AWESOME!
That's is! It's that simple!
I needed a vege to serve with my chicken parm so out to the garden I went! It took all of my strength to drag this monster zucchini from the garden to the back porch!
I'm pooped!Maggie and Mitch wanted you all to know that Cecil can see! His surgery was a success!
You can read all about it at Mackie's blog! We are absolutely thrilled for you, Cecil! YEAAAAAAAAAAA
See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn
You always have the yummiest food at your house! Miam, miam as Faya would say!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for Cecil! We're going over to Mackie's right now!

ps. Willow & I have pulled D over and dragged her about a metre down the street while all these tourists looked on in horror. That was a few years back.
Autumn! I was delighted to see you helping out in the kitchen, but alarmed to see you converted into a common beast of burden to pull that large foodable into the house. Maybe I should send Hector to help with the gardening. We certainly don't need any help here other than to rip out plants and say HBO words about the sorry state of affairs.

HOORAY, we are so excited for Cecil. Maybe we should celebrate by making that tasty looking dish. Mom likes it because she could easily make that for just her since Dad doesn't like chicken!
ReplyDeleteThat parm chicken looks divine! MY mum said she may try it and see if it is as tasty as it looks AND may even share with me. Thank you for the recipe. Sharkie is going to Oklahoma for a rodeo this weekend with Daddie and mum has given daddy alot of Rules to abide by while they are away. I have no rules.

ReplyDeleteSweet girl...ur gonna throw ur backie (or wheels outta alignment) out draggin' that zuchinni around the yardie...we just came from Eric's blog...they give it some fancy French name...cougette or somethin'...dunno...you could split that thing open and stuff it with the chicken parm and bake it...and pour tons of cheese on it.....MIAM!!!
