So down the stairs they come and mom is telling Mitch that it's cookie time! Yummy! I get one too, right mom?!
Then I hear mom wailing that her baby is gone. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa And in the next breath - "but you look sooooooooo cute Mitch! Such a big boy! What till Maggie sees you and wait till Daddy sees what I've done!"
Today was Mitch's turn. It's his day to become a big boy! Mom has been stressed all morning because she didn't want to "lose her baby"! Get over it mom, it's just a haircut!
Mom carried Mitch upstairs to our grooming room because Mitch doesn't climb stairs yet. Here's the last shot of Mitch with puppy fur! Can I get you a tissue mom??!!
Mom has never groomed a dog this young before. When I was younger, I went to the "real" groomer's for the first 3 or 4 times before I said "enough of this all-day-away-from-mom stuff"! Mom didn't know how Mitch was going to respond to the clippers. The first time he was on the grooming table about a month ago was just for a quicky sissors job and to trim his nails. He wouldn't stand up so mom knew that she'd have to figure out how to accomplish this. She did her research online and discovered that if you sling a pup right in front of his back legs, you'll get what you want. She did and it worked! Here's an in progress picture.
Mom has also never groomed a little boy before and I could hear here asking Mitch what am I supposed to do with this paraphernalia (meaning his private area)!
Geez ma, how's Mitch supposed to know that! You'd best figure it out quickly!!!Mitch was really a good boy for his new haircut adventure! He was very patient with mom and I could hear mom telling him how handsome he was - almost to the point that I wanted to puke! Mom took a picture of Mitch will all of his fur on the floor. So how do you feel Mitch? A lot cooler huh! Told you you'd love it!
Okay, it's my turn now mom, right?! Mom did get a picture of both of us getting cookies but she said it was too indecent to post to the blog because Mitch was too excited, if you get my drift! Gee thanks a lot Mitch! You seem to be taking over MY blog today!
After our cookies, we started to play biteyface. hummmmmmmm not as much fur to grab onto anymore!
My little brother is growing up to be quite the handsome big boy! But I'm still the boss! Just you remember that!
Until next time..............
Love ya lots,
OMG ... I hate to say this, but Mitch looks terrific ... So handsome! My Mom is seriously impressed with this entire grooming situation for both you and Mitch ... How does your Mom do it? The only word that comes to mind to describe it all is TALENT!:) You both look great and you both got cookies! Life is the goodest:)!
Wow, Mitch looks SO grown up after his hair(e)cut! Hmmm...do you think he'd like me even though I'm not an Aire? Tell him pugs are great snugglers...hehehe!ReplyDelete
Your mama should've given Mitch of Faux Hawk on his privates, like my vet lady did to me when I had my surgery! All the cool dogs are having it done...ReplyDelete
I think there is a chance that Mitch might like Suki, don't you? She is a cute girl. Do you want to ask him or should I? Let me know-K?
Oh how lucky you are ! I will have to wait another week before I can have my haircut... I wish mom can do that by herself but no... You look great ! Kiss, FayaReplyDelete
Oh Mitch, you look so handsome in your big boy haircut. Hey, what's a haircut? We've never had a haircut. We just do the soap and water thing.ReplyDelete

You and Mitch are so patient - Mom and I are impressed. I hate health care and grooming so there is just no way I could cope with trimming like that.
Mom also says your mom's clipping skills are exceptional!
They do grow up fast don't they!!
