Hi everybody! It's me, Autumn!
Maggie and Mitch get to play Blue's true colors Thursday every week and I'm so jealous because it looks like such fun so today I've decided to play and the color that I chose is orange!
Orange is pretty easy this time of year because we have so much of it in the garden! I have orange in my hat and orange carrots on my bandana and I'm among lots of orange zinnias!
These nasturtiums are a beautiful orange!
And I have to show you the trumpet vine! It's finally coming into bloom! Come along with me!
Way back here in front of dad's lumber barn is the trumpet vine and we moved the orange gazing ball back here so hopefully the orange flowers would be more noticeable in all of these green leaves!
This is the orange trumpet flower up close! They're big flowers and the hummingbirds love them!
Our swan, Dauby has an orange beak!
Check out this orange tomato! I see a face and nose!
This variety is called Fourth of July and I'm thanking him bigtime because so far he's the only variety that we're picking in the garden and eating! The other tomatoes are still green!
That was fun playing true colors!
See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn
What pretty orange things you have, Autumn! The tomato looks very yummy! We are getting lots of tomatoes, but most of them rot before they even ripen. We think it's because of the heat.

Orange is one of our favorite colors. Bentley always has an orange necklace on because his hair contrasts so nicely with it!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful oranges!! It brought back lots of memories for Mom to see the trumpet vine. When she was a little girl, she and her cousin used to slip the blooms on their fingers and pretend they had either witch's fingers or really long fingernails.

Wow - your very own Swan? How cool - hope he's friendly.... My mom loved the part about the tomato - she thinks you need to give it some eyes & glasses and take pictures before you eat it (what can I say, she's goofy & does things like that....)

Those are wonderful colors of orange especially the zinnia's and nasturtiums. Darby looks very peaceful on his pond.....does he ever get lonely. Mom was telling me the swans mate for life. There is a pair where my dad works and they have been together for 9 years now. Mom loves to just sit and watch them
ReplyDeleteYour orange post was so inviting that Mom suddenly had a craving for Florida (not from Brazil) orange juice -- and happily she found some in the fridge!!!
ReplyDeleteOrange is a warm, happy, let's all clap our paws together and dance kind of color!!!
