Mom has put me in charge of getting Maggie and Mitch packed for their Nantucket vacation! They leave the day after tomorrow!The beach umbrella and the chairs are all ready to be packed into the trunk!
I bet you guys are really excited about feeling sand beneath your toes!
It's been a real battle deciding which toys to take! Mom says they can't take them all so we're narrowing it down and it hasn't been easy!You guys sure have lots of toys!
Maggie and I have been deciding on which collars to bring! Mom says that Mitch can't wear his leather collar just in case he wants to swim so that one will be staying home. She bought him new Boomerang tags to keep him safe!I think we've made wise collar decisions, don't you, Maggie?
I'm really going to miss the family while they're gone but I do have plans to spend lots of time in the garden weeding and pruning and I'll also have lots of time for reading with a nice cup of tea! Does anyone care to join me?Look what's blooming near the vege garden!
I had my doubts that we'd see sunflowers this year because it's been such a strange year!

It's never easy packing for a trip! We hope you have a REALLY great time! We wish we could go with you! Maybe...just MAYBE our mom will be done with her "project" by the time you get back so we can get back to blogging! Have a good time and stay safe!

Autumn - you are not going to the beach?????? How can you can go exploring all the wonderful gardens if you are not there? And what about the new plants you might see that would look right in your garden. I am sure if you have a word with the garden gnomes they would keep your garden safe. There are certainly some hard decisions to make - toys and collars!! I feel your pain!! My mom & dad just bought a wheelie house (wait till you see it in our post next week!!), so I'll get to go on trips now!! I'll take any advice you guys can give me on packing!

Autumn, we're so jealous of those sunflowers! Our summer has been so cool and wet that all the sunflowers we planted have only grown about 3ft and not flowered!!

Hey Autumn....nice job helpin' the M's pack fer the trip....do ya really have that many collars????? Sheesh, we each have one only....hope ya have a great time....our tomatoes have the blight...both early and late blight so they are pretty sick...but Gram got a bunch of tomatoes from them and hopefully she can get a bit more before they bite the dust....this was a bad year fer tomatoes around here.....too wet and cool....
