Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!
The sunflowers are well over my head now and the marigolds and zinnias are all blooming away! There are so many pretty colors! I can't decide which color I like best!
The Fourth of July tomatoes are ripening and so are these little guys called Dimes! Look how cute and tiny they are and boy, are they ever sweet!
These are pumpkin flowers! Look how big they are! I see little teeny pumpkins growing in there! They still have a long way to go before they're the right size and color for the autumn season!
The acorn squash is doing very well! This is the first year that we've grown it and mom is not quite sure when you're supposed to pick it! Some of it looks to be the right size but we don't know if it's ripe or not! I guess we'd better read up on it!
This is not too bad for a morning's picking! Thank goodness we brought the harvest basket and I don't have to drag another zucchini to the back door!Leaving the vege garden and crossing the brook, I can't help but turn around and admire all of dad's pretty morning glories that he has growing on his wire trellis!
Heading back to the house, I have to say hi to my sissy, Maggie! She's enjoying her stuffed bone!
The zinnias and butterfly bush are both in bloom right outside our back door! What vibrant colors!See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn
Hi Autumn,
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks wonderful. We love all the flowers in bloom and that acorn squash! Do you get lots of butterflies on your buddleia? Ours is on the front garden, and the front garden is all fluttery with them this time of year ... when it doesn't rain.
Maggie is really enjoying that stuffed bone!

Hi Autumn
ReplyDeleteYour garden colours are as pretty as your hat!
We love the flowers but especially the vegetables since we do not grow any.
We tried tomatoes although we need a greenhouse and they are a lot of work.
Your harvest basket is most impressive.

Oh my dogness !!! You have a veggie garden as well as all those wonderful flowers. I am not showing mom - she will be so envious. You have morning glory growing - mom had to poison hundreds of them we had growing when we moved into this house as they had spread everywhere. Even three years later she still finds them. They are pretty but you really have to watch they don't spread.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great garden. Mom is very jealous.
ReplyDeleteBig kisses,
B
