Mom hasn't had custard since she was much younger and lived at home and her mom made it for the family of five and that was a very long time ago. She can remember the round glass pyrex dish her mom used and it was so yummy. Ours is a much smaller amount but the wonderful taste and memories come flooding back.
Yup, it's just as tasty as you said it would be, mom!Who can be in the snow and not want to roll in it?!
Don't be fooled. We have the sun and beautiful blue skies but the temps are hovering around freezing and the wind chill makes it feel even colder.
Happy Tuesday, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥
Molly
We love the snow so much, but none of us roll in it. We like to roll on dry grass mostly. Overall, we don't roll much at all. Enjoy your custard and snow while you have it.
ReplyDeleteOur grandmom made custards for us - we had an assortedment of small custard cups that we like mini-Pyrex dishes -
ReplyDeleteI think TADN has the recipe written down in the recipe book TADN collected -
I need to take a walk down Memory Lane and look thru it -

I haven't tried custard and the bad news is that Gail says I'm not likely to as she has never been a fan.
ReplyDeleteSo Molly, I'm feeling double envious today, as there's no snow to roll in here either. Sigh.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Molly, you get to enjoy the yummiest treats. Now I want some custard, too! Your sunshine is so pretty. We have lots of rain on the coast of Northern California.
ReplyDeleteThat custard looks tasty and you sure look like you're enjoying your roll in the snow.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a cold roll in the snow.
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Yummy custard followed by a roll in the cold cold snow sounds like a great day to me!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, I think I would stop with the yummy custard, myself ..."
I think tastes and smells bring back many memories.
ReplyDeleteYour happy face tells it all, custard makes fine comfort food for winter. You're so lucky that Mom prepares yummy food.😋 Our climate is crazy, some days back it felt like spring, now we’re back to winter. Keep well still, girls.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow today, Julia
Custard is a favourite in our home too. Pictures of snow always look wonderful but like you say it can be so, so cold. I love the blue sky you get without. Stay warm. Hugs & Love Susie & Coco xx
