Missy and Jim's Wedding Day

The weather was not the best for the wedding but they say that rain is good luck and if that's true then Missy and Jim are two very lucky people and will have a long life together!
Most of the showers happened early in the morning while mom and Missy and two friends ran flowers from the barn to underneath the wedding tent.
At 1PM when the bride came out of the house and the ceremony was to begin the showers miraculously stopped!
Missy and Jim are taking their vows in this picture. Can you see Dauby, our swan making sure that everything is going along okay! Jim's sister was the matron of honor and Missy's best friend Erin, was the bride's maid. The minister is hiding inside the wedding arbor and one false move and he's going swimming with Dauby! hehehehe

This picture is of mom and dad looking on as Missy and Jim are taking their vows. That's a red RedSox cap in dad's back pocket!
This is my sister and Jim being introduced as man and wife getting ready to pawty at their reception. There were about 140 guests.
This is the couple's first dance together as man and wife. They danced to "Far Away" by Nickelback.
This is mom and cousin Michael dancing together and dad and cousin Karen. They're our Rhode Island cousins that have Jenna, the Vizsla! The couple to dad and Karen's left is Jim's mom and dad, Pete and Carol.

This picture is of dad, mom and Missy before the reception started. Take a good look cause you'll never see mom this dressed up ever again! heheheheThese pictures are the first ones we've gotten hot off the press from friends. I can't wait to see me posing with my sister for the bridal shots! The photographer took those and he's not as quick about sharing pictures as friends are! If there are any more "must share" photos, we'll make sure you all see them, okay?

Till next time.................

Love ya lots,

Maggie

Thank you for the compliment on my new haircut. I need those compliments. I'm a little self-conscious when my hair is short.

I'm glad the wedding was a success, Maggie. Oh, and I'm glad you rescued Mitch from the pet store. You never know what kind of home he may have gone to otherwise :)

  17. Oh my gosh... They looks so bootiful together! I'm sooo happy for them both Maggie & I'm sure your hoomans are sooo happy for them too. Better wish for them to get a doggie too then you'll have a new friend to play with, hehehehe... What a happy & joyful day it is, indeed! Where were you by the way? Don't tell me you were not allowed to join the pawty too & hear them say "I do..."? That's not fair! But I'm sure your hoomans told you all about it & how it went... CONGRATS to them both!

  26. Hi Maggie,

Thanks for showing us the pictures of the wedding couple!
I too was told that having rain on the wedding day brings good luck. What i heard from Mum is that if it rains on the wedding day, God above has cried all the tears that the Wife will need to cry. Therefore, the wife will no longer be sad and cry during their marriage life!
PS. Ur mum looks beautiful in that black dress!

    Love,
    Reina

  30. Ha roo, Maggie! Your yard looked 100% PERFECT for the wedding - wow, you have all been working so hard for the big day! I love all the wedding pictures - but I must say, your mom and dad look young enough to be the sister and brother-in-law of the bride - not the parents!!! They both look so good - and the bride was stunning! (The groom, too ... but you know ... he's a guy. Ya know?) Anyroo, what a picture-perfect setting for such a special day!
Best wishes and congrats to all!

  35. Aw Maggie! Thanks for posting the pictures of the wedding! How sweet Dauby made an appearance! My Mom wants to know why it's always "man and wife"... how come it's not "woman and husband" or just "husband and wife." I told my mom to quit bugging me with her questions.
