At the end of August, mom and dad and Maggie and Mitch will head to Nantucket for a whole week and I'll be staying here and weeding the garden and picking all the tomatoes and eggplant and squash and cucumbers that ripen and having a feast with the other stuffies that live here! Thank goodness dad has a big garden because we have lots of mouths to feed! Several of the WoolieDales decided to join me for a photo! This is only half of them! The others are scattered around the house keeping busy doing who knows what!
I thought it might be fun to pretend that we were going to the beach today! I don't like water any more than Maggie does so just to stand in the sand and absorb the rays is good enough for me! I had no problem getting a couple of friends to join me!
If you click on Miss Barbara's link, you will see that she has just published a book with 50 pages of her Airedale paintings and cute prose that was written by her hubby, Mr. Leonard! Guess who graces the cover of her new book????? Are you ready for this!!!!! My sissy, Maggie!

Maggie famous! We love that picture on the book cover! You sure have a lot of 'dales to keep you company, Autumn. The WoolieDales are what got our mom started in needle felting. We hope you all have a great time at the beach, even if you don't go in the water!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe they are going to leave you for an entire week and leave you to do the weeding...WEEDING!!! You better to get all the food in the garden for that!
I have a lot of weeds here at my house. I refuse to pull 'em, but I do enjoy stalking crickets in 'em!
That blue toy that I'm chomping on is called an Everlasting Fun Ball! My human was silly and got me the medium one, I needed the large one 'cause I was too good at getting the treats out! It's this really chewy ball-like thing that you put treats in, then you cap the top and bottom with these everlasting treats that are delicious! Anyway, you have to get throught these treats on the outside (which takes a long time) then when you get to the treats on the insde you have to figure out how to get to 'em! It's hard to do with our big Airedale noses! If you guys wanna try one out, just let me know! I'll get my human on it ASAP!
