My Golden Birthday

Toffee told me that if I'm 10 years old and my birthday falls on the 10th then it's my golden birthday! I somehow feel more special knowing this! Thanks, Toffee!

Mom and I were up at 2:30 AM this morning - we just couldn't wait to start our special day together! You have to see the pretty cards that I got! Mom and I were smiling bright and early!

This one is from Asta! She sends the prettiest and most clever cards!

And this one is from Girl girl! I love the MANY ice cream cones! I'm drooling already!

This one is from Blue! This one came in the mail a couple of days ago all the way from England! I LOVE the card, Blue!

And this one just arrived today! It's from my best pal, Lenny! He'll be 10 years old in 2 days! Do you want to be a Red Hatter too, Lenny? The musical card from you is just perfect!

I also got a card from Mona and her mom and Eric and Bailey, Baxter, Brody and Benson and Molly and Taffy and my computer challenged mom can't figure out how to upload them onto my blog! Thank you so much, guys! They're just adorable! I also got a feature spot on Boy and Baby's blog and on Ruby's blog!

Thank you for all my cards! I love each and every one of them!

We went for morning walkies and when we got back I got my first pressie! It's from mom and dad! How do you like my new red hat society collar?

No sooner had I put my new collar on and Autumn came pumpkin wheeling over and gave me the most beautiful red hat society bandana! Autumn is so gifted with her needle and thread! Thank you so much, Autumn! I just love my new bandana!

And right on Autumn's heels was Mitch with a pressie for me too! OMG, Mitch! It's a 3 foot long bully stick! Is that really for me? All of it? Okay - you can let go now! Thank you! Are you letting go yet? Excuse me! Can I have it, please?! Have you changed you mind?!

Two days ago the mailman brought me another gift from Putter! OMG, girlie - you've totally outdone yourself! You must have maxed out your mom's plastic card by now! It's a beautiful pink blankie with MY name on it!

I can't wait till it stays cooler and I can sleep with it every night! It matches Bertie the stuffie flamingo to perfection! I'm sure you planned it that way! Thank you so very, very much, Putter!

Mom finally got crackin' on my cake! I've been waiting for ingredients to come off the pantry shelves and pans to get greased and I was frankly beginning to get worried that mom forgot all about a cake for me! Nope! Mitch and I watched her prepare it right before our eyes and it even has 10 candles on it - on both my piece and Mitch's piece!

Wallymelon cake with yogurt frosting and blueberry candles! OMG, how fitting for summer and my 10th birthday, mom!

Is yours all gone too? That was one delicious cake, mom and very cold and refreshing!

This has been the best birthday I've ever had! Turning 10 years old sure is special! Thank you to all of my friends for making my birthday one that I will never ever forget!

Mom says tonight she'll break out the ice cream! Yippeeeeeeee
