True Colors Thursday - Violet

It's true colors Thursday once again! Our hostess is Blue!

If you want to play just let her know and she'll give you her blessing! Today's special color is violet!

Dad's mom painted violets on this flat iron years ago. We never met nanny but we've heard lots about her!
Mom says that she would have loved us!
Our gram collected fancy hankies for years and she has passed them down to mom! These are the violet ones! You can't even imagine how many hankies mom owns!
I wonder if they taste as good as kleenex?!
Mom and Mitch are playing tug with violet Wubba! I'm not sure how much longer Wubba will be alive! Mitch loves shreading him!
This is a print of me! Miss Barbara painted the original and it sold on ebay only mom didn't win it! Mom bought a mat and flipped it over and sponge painted on it to match the colors of the hydrangea stencil in our downstairs hydrangea-themed bathroom!
Imagine - my beautiful face hangs in the bathroom! Does this seem right to you?!Next weeks color is green!

See you all next Thursday!

Maggie and Mitch

  5. Wow, what great picks for violet.
Mommy loves the hankies. Her grandmother used to give hankies to all of her granchildren, girls that is, for Christmas but Mommy doesn't know what happened to them.
She stiched all kind of stuff on them.

Maggie, that painting of you is pawsome!!

  7. Ciao M&M!

Maggie, you are gorrrrrjusss in your portrait (don't think of it as being in the bathroom -- think of it as being in the spa!), and the violet in the frame sets off your coloring so well.

And Mitch, that violet Wubba looks like it's been well loved (hee hee). I just got my first grown-up Wubba, so if yours wears out, I'd be happy share mine with you!

    Tanti baci!

  8. Violet is a lovely color -- but your portrait is beyond lovely. We think it probably gets the most viewing in the bathroom -- so we wouldn't feel too unhappy about that location.
