Wheelie Wednesday - The September Garden

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!
September is half over already and autumn is right around the corner!
There is still lots of stuff going on in the garden! This basil is well over my head and it smells so good! Mom and I can't wait to make pesto!

This cute yellow flower is called calendula! I didn't plant it - it self-sowed all by itself! All I had to do was weed around it and presto - free flowers! This is one of our autumn sedums that's blooming. It's a lavender flower! And the other autumn sedum is more of a mauve color! As the flower ages, it turns more rosey!
This goldenrod is right at the pond edge!
The turtles are soaking up the sun's rays! I guess it must feel pretty good to them! They better enjoy it because our weatherman says the temps will be dropping very soon!
Hi Dauby!
Check out my pumpkin! I can't wait for it to turn orange!
See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

  5. Good evening m & m
    It is a good-looking motorcycle.
    It seems to run well.
I want to hear the sound of V type engine.

The goldenrod has grown also in Japan.
It ..one meter about 50 centimeter.. grows.
Of course, it is impatient that the color of the pumpkin becomes yellow.
I want to boil until water disappears adding sugar, the soy sauce, Ajinomoto, and water and to eat. :)

  6. You certainly have been very busy Autumn. Your garden is so well organised and you always look so neat and composed. You should see our hooman after she has been working in the garden "Pulled through a hedge backwards" springs to mind.

  14. We've seen some fresh mozzarella in the fridge - perhaps some basil and fresh tomatoes and olive oil would be nice for dinner tonight.

  24. Thank you for telling us about that autumn sedum. There is a lot of that growing around here when we go on our walks, and the Momster was wondering what it is called. Question answered.

You should see the giant pumpkins the bipeds got - they grew in their other grandparents' garden. They are so big it took two big guys to carry them.

  42. Mmmmmh ... pesto. We think your garden looks lovely Autumn. We didn't know you have turtles in your pond. I have never seen a turtle, just frogs. They don't taste nice though. Say Hi to Dauby for me. We see lots of his kind when we go for walks, and I don't chase them anymore.

  44. Now Autumn dear, can I ask you a question? I understand that you're raising plants for your dinner table, but how do you keep pests ( mites and uninvited insects ) away? Is there any good method without using insecticide? I did struggle hard to keep those blackie mites free from my basil. =( Didn't work.
