Come and Get It

One of mom's Christmas gifts from my sissy this year was a beautiful heart-shaped bird feeder.    This past Friday, she took a ride to Tractor Supply and bought forty pounds of classic bird seed, came home, filled the feeder and hung it in the pink Dogwood tree.

Since Friday, she's worn a path in the carpet peeking out the window to see if any guests have arrived.   Nope - and not even a stoopid squirrel!

Yesterday afternoon, she was checking out the window for the 87,000 time, and she spotted a Chickadee just leaving.    She got all excited and told him to please go get all of his friends and come back! Well, he didn't.

I hear that suet will be served soon too, little birdies!

Today is my sissy's birthday.   Happy Birthday, Melissa♥    We hope you have a fun-filled day!

Love ya lots,
Molly

  4. Happy Birthday to you beautiful to Melissa da best Sissy and omds is she a good shopper.
Please tell Melissa she has beautiful furs so wavy!!
I love the heart shaped feeder. Birds are often very slow to find new things just for them
Now that they have found it I bet Mom will wear a path in grass filling up the feeder.
    Love you lots

  6. If the chickadees have found it that is a good start. They are always the first birds to use a new feeder. Don't worry. We're sure they will bring some friends with them soon. Happy Birthday to your sissy.

  8. Sometimes it takes a while for the birdies to figure out where the seeds are. Give them time …

  11. I don't think it will take the birdies too long to see that you all heart them. Happy Birthday to Melissa from all of us.

  12. We bet that heart shaped feeder will be overflowing with lots of feathered friends soon. Mom has a beautiful hummingbird feeder, but she hasn't had much luck with it yet. She may have to move it since she thinks we may scare the hummers away.

As for that horrible kitchen photo I 1000000% agree
I don't even leave a coffee cup in the sink. Not to mention my counters are sanitized after each meal!!
I cannot imagine living with such slobs LOL

  16. Mom fed the birds for a while, but it also brought mice and voles that ruin the yard, so we quit. Hope the birds show up soon.

  17. What lovely gifts and a wonderful shape. It does take a while for the birds to figure out that there is a new feeder around, we did the same with our feeders but once they find it they sure do go through bird feed! Happy Birthday Melissa we hope you had a lovely day. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
