Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

We love the tall grasses this time of year.

I AM looking, mom!
We found berries, which we are very happy about.   Because of the drought this summer, there just aren't any out there!
Yesterday morning, the crows and the blue jays and the squirrels were all fighting over the peanuts mom put out for them!
We had a junco come to our smaller feeder.  We normally see them feeding on the ground.
The amaryllis that my sissy gave mom for Christmas is about to burst into bloom.     The stem is seventeen inches tall from the rim of the pot to the point of the flower bud.

Happy Friday, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

  8. The squirrels here seem annoyed by Boston's frequent ins and outs. They have to jmp off the feeders and run to the back of the deck even though he doesn't see them.

  9. We noticed that most of our bushes and trees have little or no fruit this year. Our hawthorn tree is already out of berries. Can't wait to see your amaryllis when it blooms!

  16. Lulu: "Ooh, juncos! Our Mama and Dada saw them all over the place many years ago when they went on vacation in Shenandoah and thought they were just adorable!"
Java Bean: "Our Mama and Dada go on vacations?"
Lulu: "Well not in my experience. But apparently they used to."
