Mom was sorting through her fabric stash yesterday and came upon her Knickerbocker teddy bear that her mom and dad gave her for her very first Christmas! He was inside a cedar chest underneath all of the fabric and she forgot that she put him there. What a nice surprise☺

The old and the new. You both are most special.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day and rest of the week, Duke. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥
Java Bean: "Ayyy, Duke, your tío Knickerbocker Bear is very cute!"
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "Our Dada has a bunch of his old stuffies here, too, but none from when he was that young. Apparently Dennis stole one once but fortunately he just left it out in the yard without destroying it. After that, Dada put them up way out of reach of curious dogs ..."
How cool that your mom has a toy from her first Christmas! That is a true treasure.
ReplyDeleteAaaawwww, what a wonderful find for your Mama!

Rosy & Sunny
Did your mom let you play with the bear?
ReplyDeleteThat bear is a true treasure, Duke. Our Mom needs to explore her mother's cedar chest that is stored in the basement - solid mahogany - who knows what she might find
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
I bet it has fantastic smells.
ReplyDeleteI love finding things from ours and our Boys past. I have been sorting out Baby clothes from Eldest for his son, who is now five months old, to wear and it has been great going down memory lane. Your bear is lovely and wonderful to have it from when you were little and given to you by your parents. DH and I still have ours and we have kept the Boys Bears safe for them too. Happy Wednesday. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
ReplyDeleteMom has some special things like that saved in good spots too. Those kind of things are treasures to our humans.
ReplyDelete❤️
ReplyDeleteI think Mom is a very special person for keeping the teddy bear for so long. And so well maintained.💗
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder what's the longest thing I have with me.
Play nice with teddy🐻,
Julia
