Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

Our Butterfly bushes are still blooming away and they smell soooooooo pretty!

Miss Violet~

Last year, we lost Miss Ruby.   Mom actually pulled the "what we thought was a dead" Butterfly bush out of the ground and trust me - she was dead.   We had no idea that a Butterfly Bush could self sow but Miss Ruby is back and blooming and mom couldn't be more thrilled!
Along our walk, Miss Dotty's Daylily was blooming~
The Shasta Daisies in our garden are blooming~
In farmer Will's field, the yellow squash is flowering and his workers have been picking squash~
This mushroom was growing in our front yard and I decided to give it a taste.  Mom has no idea what is poisonous and what isn't so she took a picture and looked it up.   She discovered that it is edible, thank goodness, and I won't get sick and I didn't.
Happy Friday, everyone!
Love ya lots♥
Duke

  1. Oooh, such pretty flowers.
But Duke, apparently it's not good to go round tasting random mushrooms. According to Gail, who did cook some chanterelles she'd picked herself on our walk around Loch Kinord this week. She tells me they're not "random mushrooms"!

  2. Lots and lots of pretty flowers in your area. Our lilies are blooming in our backyard, but they are just the boring yellow ones. I don't think any of us have eaten a mushroom. Sometimes Mom sees a mushroom on our walks but no one has any interest in eating them.

Oh Duke, do be careful going about chewing on shrooms... They can cause all sorts of trubs. All those flowers though are blooming beautiful! Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  8. What beautiful flowers you have around you, Duke. Please don't eat any mushrooms because you don't know which ones are bad until it's too late.

  9. Miss Violet and Miss Ruby are so pretty - we hope they drew in lots of butterflies. Mom loves the daisies. We have seen a bunch of mushrooms around here too, but Mom pulls us away as she too doesn't know what is safe and what is bad. Happy weekend.

  14. We love the Butterfly bushes. Ours is the blue/purple one and it is only just coming out. We had an old one where the new ones is and it loved it but this one does not seem as happy! Love the daisies my most favourite flowers of all. Glad the mushroom was okay, you can never be too careful with them. Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
