Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy today for Nature Friday~~

We didn't get out for walkies at all this week.   Mom refuses to walk on the road when there is snow and ice at the sides fearing that a car could plow into us.     These photos were from last week~

The temps were cold but nothing like what we've had all this week!

We love the greenery growing on top of this mailbox~

The rock behind me is HUGE!

We did get out to play in the snow yesterday.   It wasn't quite as cold as it has been.

I lost a boot, mom~

We were never outside with four boots on.  The back ones just would not stay on!

I got a birthday card in the mail from Chewy!  Thank you, Chewy!

Monday FunDay

 We got around 4 inches of snow - the real deal this time☺  The only down side is that it is bitterly cold out and mom told me from the start that this was going to be a short romp.

Off I go~~

I was having a great time~

Mom noticed that I was picking up my feet and trying to chew the snow and ice off of them and she said that it was time to head inside quickly.

We need to give farmer Will a huge thank you.  He was plowing our driveway before 6am this morning.  What a wonderful gift!  Thank you so much, Will♥

Nature Friday

We are joining Rosie this week for Nature Friday~~

Mom knitted me a "necker".   Miss Susie calls it a necker so we're going with that!  I don't mind Molly's hand me downs but it's pretty special to have one of my very own.

I'm ready for walkies, mom!

We keep seeing this tall grass outside the fence.   Did the birdies plant it?!

Back at home, the Christmas Cactus flowers are opening!

Snow on Saturday

 The snow we got was once again, only a dusting but it doesn't stop me from loving it and having fun!

Mom says that this amount of snow is just fine with her as all she has to do is sweep the back porch steps!

Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy and Sunny this week for Nature Friday~~

This past Monday was the last time we were out for walkies because mom says that the temps have been too cold and blustery to be walking out there safely.

We did find a bunch of flowers - but they were silk ones and not real ones~

Inside the house, another African Violet decided to make mom smile.

Our Christmas Cactus is budding up~

I kept busy yesterday while mom watched Jimmy Carter's funeral on TV.

Too Freezing for Fun

 Mom took me outside early this morning for business in our snow dusting that we got yesterday.  

We took a walk around the house to the back yard and she gave me the sad news that it's too blustery and cold to play outside today, Duke.

For a short romp, you would need to wear a coat and your boots, which don't seem to stay on your feets.  

Mom gave me Molly's mailman, which she never had an interest in.   A new toy is always welcome☺

Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

We have had very mild temps and for December into January, this is a gift.   New Year's Eve brought us heavy rain and a thunder and lightning display at midnight with no fireworks.  Mom says she doesn't ever remember this happening! Our weather has now changed back from warm to cold and blustery.   Winter is back!  

We missed walkies for three days and thank goodness we're back to decent weather and we're back out there pounding the pavement once again☺    

We did find some moss~

We found some pretty berries~

Mom and I were both happy just to finally be out and about so we were having fun☺

The tree limb guys are in the neighborhood.  I can help you out!   I'm an English working Cocker Spaniel, ya know!

Today is my sissy's birthday!    Happy Birthday, Missy!

New Year's Incentives

 Mom doesn't do resolutions and she keeps hearing the word "incentive" so that's what we're going with.   

She is going to try to eat healthier and lose the five pounds that she gained since Molly's passing.   She has decided that we will be seeing lots of salads around here with spinach~

My sissy's salad contained raw sugar snap peas so we'll be going with those too~

And who doesn't like carrots?!

And what about the tasty grape tomato~

She included provolone cheese, which she wasn't willing to share.  And we'll be adding hard boiled eggs too and maybe some chick peas!

That will be tonight's dinner☺
