A Giant Win and a Yummy Dindin

Dad's NY Giants won in overtime yesterday and he was very happy! Mom loves to make longer cooking meals on football Sunday and yesterday's dindin was corned beef and cabbage!

Mitch and I helped mom as she added stuff to the pot! We both had to sample a carrot to make sure it was fresh and acceptable!

The cabbage was added next and we needed to make sure that the leaves were firm and crisp and not wilty!

Mom wouldn't share any raw potatoes with us but those went into the pot too along with the big hunk of corned beef, which was very good after it had boiled FOREVER!!!! The house smell soooooooooo good!

Guess what we had for dessert, which is a rare treat around here! APPLE CRUMB PIE!!!!!!!!!! OMG, it was so good and we each got a sampling of it!

We had a VERY good Sunday! How was yours?

So until next time....................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Oh, that corned beef and cabbage sure looks yummy. Bet it was delicious. Our Mom was glad that the Giants won too. She really likes the Manning Brothers because Peyton went to the University of Tennessee and we are huge Volunteer fans(even though they are doing horribly this year). She likes Eli as well and was very happy when they beat the Patriots in the best Super Bowl ever(she hates the Patriots but don't tell Agatha and Archie).

We had new BABIES here and the Arizona Room aka Dog Room is in the "RE-MODELING" Zone right now.... a tad confusing around here. Maybe I'll slip out the front door as the construction workers come and go.... and come visit!!! Woohoo....
