A Hike and Some Donuts

We hiked Sleeping Giant yesterday! This is the very first thing we do when we arrive! We gotta let every doggie know that Maggie and Mitch were here!

We sure do love coming up here! There are just so many awesome smells!

Here is mom's favorite rock! She tosses coins at it every time we come up here! I wonder if anybody ever finds her coins? UHOH! Mitch has weckies all over himself! Dad let him sniff too far off the trail and he tangled with the weckie plant!
Mom says his fur-type is much easier to comb these nasty little buggers out of than mine is! Mine is more like wool and it tangles and the weckies stay hidden in my beard for days and days! It drives mom nuts!

Poor, Mitchy! He's got them in his eyebrows very close to his eyes! ewwwwwwwwwww

There's the castle at the top! The moon is still out! Can you see it all the way to the right just above that tree branch?

This morning our friend, Dana came up from Rhode Island to spend the day with dad! Guess what he brought for mom and us? Jelly donuts from Dunkin Donuts! OMG, thank you so much, Dana!
We haven't had one of these delicious babies since dad's tour of barns in the spring! OMG, I'm drooling!!!

We could eat these every single day of our lives and never get tired of it! What a wonderful invention!Thank you so much, Dana! You can come and visit us anytime!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

I have never had a jelly doughnut. I am very deprived obviously. You look like you are really enjoying them. I will try to get my person to get me my own jelly doughnut. That was so nice of your friend to bring them to you.

  14. You guys ARE lucky - Mom would have a fit if someone gave us jelly doughnuts. Always worried about our weight! sheesh...

I never heard the term 'weckies' before. Mom doesn't really call them anything, maybe burrs or something. I like 'weckies'!

  17. That looks like a great place to go hiking, I'm really lucky because I have very short hair so sticky things are pretty easy to get out, which is a good thing Mum says as I am always poking my nose where it shouldn't be!!
Those Jelly Donuts look amazing! Dana is a good friend!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend,

  18. Hi, Maggie and Mitch -

Sleeping Giant looks pawsome - is it in Connecticut? That weckie plant is really a mean one - hope you are not in too much pain, Mitch.

And you two get jelly donuts? Are you sure you aren't humans dressed as dogs?!?

Have a good rest of the weekend.

    Love -

  19. Goober Maggs & Goober Mitch!

You know, it is my (not-so-) secret desire to one day hike Sleeping Giant with you two gooberbuds! My girl says that once she finishes her thesis (let's not talk about it) she wants to treat herself to a driving tour out your way, and bring me along. We shall see.

Those jelly donuts look FABulously tasty. I'm glad your mama is the sharing sort. I'm sure she'd have a revolt on her hands if she didn't share.

    Goober love & smooches,
    Stanley

A big castle is very interesting.
