Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

The Goldenrod is blooming everywhere here!
I found a Chestnut still in his prickly shell and mom told me to not to eat it and be very careful not to step on it!
These fuzzy flowery things are everywhere here too.  Mom looked them up and they're called American Burnweed~
Mom loves the pink Japanese Knotweed much better than the white variety!
Wednesday night, Amazon delivered a box here around 8pm.   Of course, mom knew what was in it and she decided to wait till Thursday morning to open it as she knew what would happen if she didn't☺
Meet Ducky!  She has sixteen squeakers and she's 27 inches long and she's been talking to me a whole lot!
Happy Friday!
Love ya lots♥
Duke

  1. Henry is big into squeaky toys. It can drive the rest of us, including Mom crazy but he loves to run around squeaking things. Enjoy your new toy!

  4. So if it squeaks and quacks like a DUCK, it's DUKE's!

All the soybeans around here are yellowing too!

And the temps in our future for next week ROCK!

  7. Lulu: "Ooh, yeah, that chestnut has 'do not eat' written all over it. So of course Chaplin would probably try to eat it ..."

  11. Nice flowers! And what a fun new toy! Benji told me he would have all those squeakers out in a few n=minutes...sadly Dalton rarely plays with toys...he'd rather play with a real living pup or peep!

  12. I’m looking at the goldenrod behind you in the first photo; it’s blooming in my garden right now, too. I use its little yellow flowers to make a healing ointment and oil. And be careful not to step on a spiky chestnut, dear Duke!
