The Alternative

I've managed to ditch both e-collars and I am a MUCH happier girl! Sometimes the sock slips off but mom puts it right back on! I don't pull it off because I know that if mom is uncomfortable with the way things are going that nasty black soft e-collar will be right back in place around my neck! Mom picked this sock out of her drawer just for me! It has doggie pawprints on it and it's held up by velcro! Isn't it snazzy?! It's so nice to sleep in! It's removed when I go outside to do business or for walkies! I sleep all night long in my nice warm sock!It doesn't stop me from begging or doing anything! When mom first put it on me I high stepped and mom couldn't stop laughing but now that I'm used to it, it's no big deal! Marshmallows are a soft treat, mom! They won't hurt my booboo toofie! Can I have one, please?! Time to hitch up my sock, mom! It's slipping!Yup, I am one happy and content Aire-girlie! That e-collar is history if I have anything to say about it!We were awarded this fabulous award from our good friend, Noah and his sissies! Thank you so very much, Noah, Willow, Tess and Lucy! You've turned our 2009 around and made us smile!

Noah says that we can only award 5 other doggies so we're going to choose Lenny, because yesterday was his Gotcha day, Mr. T-Bone Beaseley, because it was his birthday, Isaac, because it was his birthday too and his sib's birthdays are right behind his, Snowball, because we think of her everytime we see that gorgeous pouch that she made for our mom and Poppy, Penny and Patches because Poppy needs to smile to help her fuzzbutt feel better!

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  5. Maggie, we're glad you got rid of the e-collar! That is one snazzy looking sock! Thank you soooo much for the award. You're right...Poppy could use a smile. Although, she's doing better today. She's not too happy about having to take the antibiotics, but so far, Mom has managed to sneak them into her food. Thanks again! We'll get our mom to post it soon.

  15. Have mom wrap some vet wrap or sports tape around your ankle ontop of the sock that will keep it on. We figured out that trick when Brutus had to wear socks over his bandages 2 years ago. :)

Has Velcro come all the way from California to hold up your sock....wow what a pal.
You look very cute with one shaved leg and one sock.
Guess what....Tess has the same airedale collar as you. We got it for Christmas from some pals in the UK and Tess is the lucky one who gets to wear it.

  25. Maggsie!

You look like you're starting a new fashion trend, what with the poodle leg on one side and the snazzy sock on the other! (Are you sure that's NOT what you're doing?)

Your mama is so sweet to find an alternative to the lampshades. You look like the sock doesn't bother you a bit. I DO hope you got some of those marshmallows for your toofie!

Congratulations on the award! You guys are ALWAYS one of my faves.

    Goober love & smooches,
