In Stan's words, "It is important to include vitamin E with your fish oil, as it increases the absorption of the oil and does other good things when it comes to the metabolizing of the fishies." Okay,Stan and Big Pupi! We hear ya loud and clear! Don't they both sound like professors?! So mom bought us vitamin E to go with the fish poppers so I think we're all set for the next 5 years!
Thank you so much Stan and Big Pupi for your awesome suggestion! We'll let you know if our coats shine as pretty as yours do! But in the meantime - these fish poppers are really yummy! It's like having dessert BEFORE dindin
So until next time................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Our mom gives us Salmon oil instead of fish oil and it doesn't taste so yummy. She puts one gelcap on our food and then disguises it with yogurt. Sometimes, I (Poppy) weed it out and leave it on the floor. We're going to tell her to go back to fish oil once she runs out of the dreaded salmon oil!

ReplyDeleteWe have fish oil tablets everyday, though some days we have fish fillets or fish heads. We've been taking them for years. They usually are hidden inside some tasty morsel like a piece of sausage. We're glad you like taking them.

manang gives us fish oil too. although ours is cod liver oil. the vet said it is good for our skin and works like vitamin e. giving it is a little tricky though, for poopie, that is.
ReplyDeletei hope your mum doesnt have any problem giving it to you.
drooly kisses,
Aki
pee-ees. i agree those bottles wouls surely last you for the next 5 years.. haha
Thanks for the interesting info on fish oil. I'm going to pop over to Noah's blog and see what Australian brand on oil he uses.
ReplyDeleteis this one a special brand for dogs?
We take fish oil capsules every once in a while but Mommy found something new for us & it's called Flaxseed! Oh, it smells just as fishy as fish. No joke! Okay, not a very strong smell but we love it! Faith would even eat a few spoonfuls just like that! Flaxseed is pretty cheap surprisingly & we found ours at an Organic shop & also at a shopping complex. It's good for blood flow, reduces cholesterol(pawfect for Chloe!) & it's a fat blocker or something like that. Flaxseed is something we recommend coz it's good for your diet! Even Oprah is eating Flaxseed & Dr.Oz recommends to everyone. BOL! Our hoomans will just put in two teaspoons full of blended Flaxseeds(must be crushed or else nothing will work) in each meal. We LOVE it! You must really try...

Oh boy, you know what, I think my mom is gonna follow you guys adding fish oil, flaxseed onto my diet. Thanks for sharing, my mom better hide the fish oil into a piece of chicken or beef or liver, haha, win win din din!
ReplyDeleteMuahhhh!
PS: Where did your mom get the fish oil?
Yup, we sometimes get fish poppers too.....don't you pop them between your teefs? They taste even fishier then, nom nom nom! If you're getting fish oil you need the Vit E but if you're getting the poppers aren't the cases made of Vit E anyway? Mum puts all sorts of seed in with our BARF, yum!
ReplyDeleteSlobbers xx
We wuv ar fish poppiez, too!

We take it too! WE were doing flax oil and salmon oil and then when we went to the nitritionist she gave us these omega capsules!! Love A+A
ReplyDeleteOoooh where can we get those!?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're really enjoying them!
We have those with our dinner. Foley gets three, Dawson gets two and I get one. Our fur seems to be much softer when the hopeless human remembers to put them on the kibble.
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie and Mitch! My mom gave fish oil to Freddie (the nice pup they had before me) when he was suffering from hip dysplasia. He was already taking several other things the vet recommended, but the fish oil did seem to help.
ReplyDeleteSee ya!
Joey
Oooh! Delicious! We so totally dig our fish poppers. Give it a month or so to really show its true effects on your coat (the fur needs to grow out a little). I'm not sure if it's possible for you to be handsomer beasts, but it can't hurt!
ReplyDeleteHappy fishy feasting.
Your mum sure has stocked up! BOL! I don't get these thingies but mum says she might get some now for Penny. I has a piece of fish once a week. Fish be soo yum!
ReplyDelete~lickies, Ludo
hi kiddos, congrats on your humengous supply of fish poppers. they look yummy! our mom get special salmon oil and squirts it on our food everyday - no poppers for us, but we like the stinky smell and taste of it on our food. we'll have to look into that vitamin e thing. Stanislaw and Pupi get to eat a really good diet. they know a lot about that stuff.
ReplyDeletewoofs.
Fish is delish!! Your coats will be gorgeous and maybe the fish poppers will help you with your beard growth.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,
Niamh
We get fish poppers everyday too! all the boys in the house get them, Dad, Me and Tanner. Dad refuses to eat fish so he takes a pill with us!
ReplyDeleteSO funny. Dad was just restocking his weekly pill box with his fishoil when Mom started reading your blog about it.Both Hootie & I get a flaxseed oil pill each morning. We did get fishoil for a while, but they folks thought it made our breath too stinky. We LOVE anything that's stinky but then Mom squirts Scope into our mouth and that is grrrrrosssss. sloppy kisses, BabyRocketDog
ReplyDeleteHey, Maggsie & Mitch,
ReplyDeleteWe get fish poppers too, but not as much vitamin E as fish poppers. We'll have to check into that. Don't you just love the oily fishy goodness of them?!
Welcome to the club, pups!
Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

ReplyDeleteemmitt says he sits and cries every morning until we give him his fish pill and doggie multi vitamin.

ReplyDeleteNala

ReplyDeletelove & licks,

Well, maybe we need to get Fish Poppers...cuz our Daddy gives us SARDINES! Mumsie thinks its "just disgusting" and then she won't kiss us...says our beardies smell like fish! (errr, well, they do) and maybe, just pawsibly, this could help out! Our food has Omega 3 in it and Jack-a-bum gets a supplement with that stuff in it and other stuff too. I pawsonally like the Missing Link in my pupper-do din-dins....yummy gravy! Whatever works though you Doodle Dales.....we love ya and want ya HEALTHY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNose Pokes and Smooches to you!

ReplyDeleteTeddy
I bet you two were eating those things like candy!
ReplyDeleteI see you are recovering well. If only all medicine taste as good as these fish poppers!
ReplyDeleteHow did they taste?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Teddy Bear
Hope it works for you better than it did for us. Dad put it in our food for months and no difference. No difference when he stopped it, either.
ReplyDeleteOh that's good... Now your diet is more healthy. ;)
ReplyDelete~ Bae
Hi Maggie,
ReplyDeleteI take Omega 3 too (I share them with Grandpa!!)... Mom says it is good for me cos I am getting old. I don't know what she is talking about.. do you?
my Jeannie says they are good for your brain power too, so I kinda think she should perhaps start taking some of them!
ReplyDeleteI take fish oil too. My girl squirts two of them onto my kibble every morning. It helps me not to be so itchy in the winter.
ReplyDeleteWoof,
Keeley
Storm and I get really stinky fish oil squirted on our food everyday to help our joints. It is soooo stinky - it's GREAT! And it helps us a lot!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Dave
