Remember this picture taken a few weeks back?
It's time to head upstairs to see how the guest bedroom is coming along!
Follow me!
I am now on the other side of the baby gate! There is a new plywood floor in place so that I don't fall through the floor joists to the kitchen below and the sheetrock walls are up and they are taped and being compounded and they're coming along nicely!
These must be the compounding tools and in that bucket with the green lid is the white stuff mom calls compound!
It's looking good but aren't you supposed to put the white stuff on the walls and not the floor?! It looks like marshmallow fluff but it sure doesn't smell like it! It doesn't taste like it either!Dad is currently working on milling antique chestnut that will be the finished floors and mom is the one compounding the walls! Good work, both of you! You both get an A++!I'll be doing another progress update soon so keep your noses to the grindstone!
Your friendly Aire-supervisor,
Mitch

You make such a great snoopervisor, Mitch! Down here, in Georgia, we call that compound "sheetrock mud". Don't ask us why! Your mom must be really good to mud all the joints and make them smooth! We can't wait to see the floor your dad is working on! Our mom and dad did our kitchen floor and it took THREE years to be completely finished! We sure hope yours doesn't take that long!
ReplyDeleteAire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches
The project is coming along great! I can't wait to see that floor, it sounds like it's going to be very special.

P.S. Can you read the words on the shirt? It says "The Airedales are Coming, the Airedales are coming!"

Mitch,
ReplyDeleteYou are very lucky to have such capable parents. My mom doesn't have any talent at fixing stuff...she always has to ask someone else to do it for her! We're looking forward to seeing the room when it's finished!

Good job Mitch ! Can you please talk to my human Dad. He said, (4 years ago !!!!), that he wants to refresh the guests-room, but Véronique is still waiting....
