Wheelie Wednesday - A Christmas Stocking

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!Look what mom made for me! It's a Christmas stocking! She's either late this year or very early for Christmas next year! She was bound and determined to find patterns to make mini-stockings and mini-mittens and anything else mini that might be fun! Mom says that it's such a fun challenge and she's so excited at the way the mini-stockings are turning out!

She has started the second stocking already! It's the reverse color of the first one! And yesterday mom headed to the yarn store and came home with red yarn so there will be a lot more knitting going on!

If anyone else is interested go here and you'll be overwhelmed at all of the fun stuff that you can knit to keep you busy this winter! And if you go here you'll go NUTS over all of the free patterns available!

Many of you have asked about Maggie! Maggie is doing fine! Her booboo area is healing beautifully! She's wearing her sockie every single day all day long and even all night long! The evil e-collars were both put away a few days ago! She stopped taking pain meds on day #3 but she still has lots more antibiotics to take and as long as they're coated with peanut butter - no problem! Maggie has purple stitches and Dr. A will be removing them on Friday morning! We'll keep you updated!

See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

  1. Those little stockings are so cute, but why so many? Can we expect more wheelies in the future?

Maggie looks happy. Hope they didn't mess with her beard at the vet.

  2. Autumn, you do such a great job of reporting! The stockings are just tooooo cute! Our mom used to knit, but she wasn't very good at it, so she finally gave it up. She thinks there was a problem because she learned to crochet before she learned to knit. Knitting goes soooo much slower than crocheting that it made her frustrated.

Maggie, we are sooooo glad you are doing well! After your stitches come out, you will have to concentrate on growing back that one eyebrow! Or...maybe you will start a new fad!

  6. Maggie's booboo is looking much better! Do you think the shaved patch will grow back in a different color? Muzzer says a solid black would look superduooper.

We love the stockings. Muzzer is going to look at the knitty stuff, but we are still mastering binding off. Changing yarn colors will problly wait til next year.

  7. Hey Autumn! Please let Maggie know that I had stitches and wore a collar, too. And, the best thing is that when my fur grew in it completely covered my scar. Ms. Alpha was doubtful, but my fur is very clever.

Let me know if you think of anything good to do on an icy, rainy indoors day.

  34. Cool Stockings! Stella and I have decided that I am going to knit this year...actually the deciding was done for us when I was given a learn to knit book and a pattern calender and a stocked knitting bag.

I am glad Maggie is looking good and she is happy the e-collar is off!

  35. Maggie Babes -

We are so happy to see you are on the mend....and good girl for not needing the e-collar. We are very proud of you! Lola had a little lump removed over Xmas holidays and she had purple stitches too! They are out and she is doing fine. It was on her shoulder so she did not have to wear the evil e-collar. Thank Dogness!

We all have pretty long beards...Roy Al's is the longest but not as long as yours! Lola had some fancy eyebrows...Mumsie is letting them grow so she has a fancy face. Very girlie!

    Airehugs and kisses!
