Yippeeeeee Another Christmas Card

I got another Christmas card in the mail today. It's from Faya, the Swiss Aire girlfren. And how cute she looks with her Santa hat on with red hearts! Mom would love to put a hat on me but no way will I let her do that! I paw them all off within seconds.
Faya, I do have ta tell ya - you're a good sport and you write perfect English! Mom says your handwriting is neater than mine! Faya also sent a 2007 Swiss calendar. How cool is this! It's not every Airedale in America that owns one of these. I feel pretty special. I have my new calendar opened to July so I can see which day my birthday falls on. I see it'll be on a Tuesday this year! Thank you sooooooooooooo much Faya.

Mom is still working on putting up Christmas decorations. The latest is her WoolieDale Christmas. All of the Airedales were made by Carol Usher and the wooden rope bed and the wooden Santas were made by mom awhile back. Good thing dad is a woodworker and has lots of scraps to keep mom busy!

But lately mom has been keeping busy knitting and felting purses. She has made a lot of them as gifts, has sold a few and also has given some to Airedale rescue to help raise money so that those not so fortunate furbutts hopefully can be as lucky as I am one day. Here I am modeling mom's Christmas bag and praying that she takes me to Petco so that I can pick out toys to add to my list!

My hooman sister was here this weekend and put packages under our tree. Mom keeps telling me that these packages are NOT for me but I know better. I just know by the smell that mom is fibbing! She keeps telling me, Maggie, stay away from those packages and I put that angelic look on my face and tell mom that I've been real good but - do you see that nasty brown man falling off that branch? Well, when I sniff the packages somehow he dumps forward and he gets me in trouble! So now I need to learn how to set him right so I stay on Sanata's good girl list.

I hear mom grabbing her purse! I'm off to give her my special nosepoke to be sure she knows that I wanna come along too.

Until next time......................

Maggie

  1. My mom knits too... mostly socks lately (she makes 'em for xmas presents). I like to help when I can - especially taking apart those large balls of yarn and running at top speed to keep them away from the cats...

    FUN

  2. Maggie, tell your two-legged Sue that your most recent blog posts look OK. She seems to have fixed the photo spacing problem. Also tell her that I'm using the older version of Blogger, because I have not been notified yet that I'm able to convert to the new Blogger Beta. So I'm not a lot of help on the newer version. Blogger has a very active user forum for those persnikety problems that pop up in a new version of software. It's at: http://groups.google.com/group/blogger-help

    Hope this helps.

  6. Hey Maggie-licious,

You are a very good girl to not just tear into those presents. I don't think I could be so disciplined. I guess that's why mum sneaked a bag of stuff that I'm sure was for me upstairs the other day.

  10. MoonShadow: I wish my mom was that talented! Those stuffed pups are really neat. To bad you probably can't play with them.

Bai-Jin (http://bai-jin-white-gold.blogspot.com/): What a great sized tree, Ours is way to big to put on a table so mom had to put a gate around it so I can't get the decorations (my little human brother likes to get the decorations too). We don't have presants under the tree yet. I think mom is hiding them somewhere.
