I'm Home

Mom picked me up yesterday around 3pm.  It wasn't long before I found a new toy that she had put in my toy box.  She says his name is Mister Bill~

Mom says that keeping me calm is quite the challenge.    She says "slow down" to me all the time but I learned a new one yesterday - "four feet on the floor".   I want to climb into mom's lap but I'm not supposed to jump and climb and mom is a rule follower.   And having said that, she comes down to me and keeps kissing me over and over.    I wasn't able to eat my full meal yesterday.  The nice ladies at the animal hospital told mom that all of the surgical stuffs could make me nauseous and to only give me a quarter to a half of what I normally get.    I had a good night with no tummy upset so this morning I can have almost my full portion with the meds they sent mom home with.

She took my Hartz squeaky balls away from me as I was running and kicking them with my Benebone in my mouth.   Mom says today, she will call the vet and see if that's too much activity for day one and day two of recovery.

That's my update.    Thank you so much for all of the good wishes and healing vibes.   Mom and I truly appreciate each and every one of them.

Love ya lots♥
Duke

  2. We're glad to hear you're doing well, Duke. You are so cute with Mr. Bill in your mouth. We are keeping our paws crossed that you heal quickly, but remember to listen to your mom and slow down a little.

  3. I'm glad you're home and all is well. You need to heal up and take it easy while you're doing that. Soon you'll be back in moms lap and running and jumping all over the place. Thank you for the update.

Have a woof woof day. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥

  4. Hurray, Duke for getting that over and done! You're on the road to recovery but you must mind Mom when she tells you to slow down. That's not an easy lesson for a boy who loves to play, is it?

  5. BOL BOL 4 feet on the floor that is a good one
Duke darlin' you didn't know Madi but she was a DIVA CAT. I will never forget what her vet said to me when I picked her up after her spaying. His exact words: "don't let her jump". My exact words:" you do know she is a cat right". He giggled: " said I have to say no jumping, but in reality, I should say no huge high jumps"

  9. So, it's official now: and no longer can we call you Master Duke ... you are, yes: officially a "big boy"! And how nice that Mr.Bill fits inside your cone to keep you company while you get all-betters. PS, don't make your Mom all crazee-like, be good! You can do it!
