My New Head Collar

Mom has had just about enough of my pulling so hard on every training device that she gets for me.   She reads lots of stuff on the intermutts and she read very good things about the 2Posh2Pull head collar from the UK.   Our Springer Spaniel friend, Ollie wears it and it works for him!  We read that it's a game changer!

So this morning was my very first walk on my new head collar.  It doesn't help matters that the birds are singing and flitting everywhere gathering materials and building their nests.   They taunt me and it's very hard for me to be a good boy.

I'm a working Cocker Spaniel and I have a LOT of energy and mom reads that pups like me can go all day long on a fast speed and everything she reads is spot on and not wrong.
Did this new collar work?    Mom says that it did a better job that the Halti for sure and because it's the first day, will the second day be just as good or better?   Time will tell.
Mom just got off the phone with my vet.   I get neutered on Friday!   Too much is happening all at once!

Love ya lots♥
Duke

  1. We hope the new device (and your neutering) help slow you down on walks, Duke.

  2. The vet? Oh no. I was going along with what you were talking about and then the vet. Oh no.

Have a woof woof day and rest of the week, Duke. My best to your mom. ♥

  3. Lulu: "It's hard not to pull when there's so much to see, right, Duke? I pull Dada around when we go for walks too. That's partly because he is a slowpoke, and partly because I am usually on a waist leash and so Dada often doesn't really notice when I'm pulling, and partly because, you know, I'm 75% Malamute or Siberian, so pulling is kind of my thing."
Java Bean: "We will be sending lots of tail wags for you on Friday!"

Duke, I wish you and mum all the best for the continued walking practice. A little POTP in advance for speedy healing after the snip, too! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. Being good on a walk is HARD....Rosy is also a big puller...Sunny, not so much after the first 10 minutes(because of her long leggies). We hope this collar works for you.
Good luck on Friday...we'll be sending you lots of Lhasa love!

  6. We will be keeping our eyes on your progress with this collar. Timber still pulls a bit but his gentle leader is leaving marks around his mouth, almost like calluses. Hope it works for you.

  8. Hey Duke! Your 2Posh2Pull harness certainly got to you very fast! I'm glad it was a good first experience for you. It took me a few tries to get used to having it on. #1 says that I still pull some but it's nothing like it used to be. The one thing is that I usually manage to get it off at least once during a 45-minute walk, and #1 has to put it back on.

I hope everything goes smoothly with your neuter surgery, Pal. I still have my bits!

    Woofs,
    Ollie

  9. Nelson and I pull like crazy, especially if we see a rabbit but Mom can still hold us most of the time. Sometimes she grabs a tree or sign to hold on until we stop. Sorry to hear of your vet appt. but we are sure all will be fine.

  13. I’ve read these collars are great for smaller dogs, but can injure larger dogs. But I had to laugh, because Addi shares your opinion about birds! Hope you are having a good week!

  14. I saw a beige cocker spaniel lately, my he was much bigger than other pups and quite a ball of energy! I hope Mom finds what she needs and your walks get easier day by day. Good job, Mom!

Pats, Dandy. May all goes well on Friday.
