Apple Treats

We got an email a few days ago from Mr Andrew at Chewy and he wanted to know which treats we would like to try out this month!  Are we the luckiest AirePups or what!
Mom let me reply and I told Mr Andrew that my birthday was coming up in a couple of weeks and that my favorite treat in the whole wide world is apple!
Yesterday evening, a box arrived.

 Oh my goodness!  Do you seen the size of this bag of  Nutro apple treats!
Is Chewy the bestest or what!

 Just one for you, Molly.  The rest are all for me, right, mom?

 These apple treats fill our entire cookie jar!

The Halloween Pawty at Crumpie's

Mom and dad were home around 7:30 but they both said that they had a blast!
One of the costume winners was our friend, Hungarian George.  George is a sheetrocker and he has his stilts on underneath his Uncle Sam trousers!  George is such a fun guy! He was on the dance floor dancing with those stilts on his legs!       George's wife, Pamela, was Betsy Ross.

 Our friend, Lauren, announced that she and her husband are expecting.  How cute is this?!

Yesterday morning, we were at Crumpie's cleaning up after the pawty.   We love this part because we get to search the floor for any crumbs that were spilled and we found plenty!  Mom didn't have her camera with her because she was supposed to be working and not playing.
You gotta check this out~~
This is cannoli cookie and dip.

Mom saw this on the table last night and had no clue what it was and she never tried any of it.   We found lots left this morning and now we're all enjoying it.

And we brought home apple pie and anginetti cookies and peach cheesecake.
We are being treated to left-overs and we are very happy pups even though we missed the pawty!

Pawty Preps

Tonight is the annual Halloween pawty at Crumpie's.   Mom and dad and Uncle Phil have been hustling their hineys off and we have been supervising to make sure everything is done just so.
Cupboards have been built and window trim downstairs is all done and doors have been finished and oiled.
Temps today are in the 60's so no fire will be needed in the fireplace tonight.

 The grandfather's clock is a Halloween prank.   It's not a working clock any longer.
One day, this barn will be a clock shop filled with gorgeous working clocks but this one will not be among them!

 The window trim is finished on the first floor only. We still have the entire second floor and third floor to go so lots more tennis ball playing will be happening in the next couple of months.

 Unfortunately, we are not on the invitation list for tonight's pawty and we think it's just awful and unfAire after all of the hard hours we've put in on this project.

Mom is making Dotty's stuffed celery appetizer.  It has cream cheese in it. We love licking the foil wrapper~

 And blue cheese and shrimp and seasonings that mom says are not so good for pups. 
Naked celery is just fine with us!

So where will we be?   Doing lots of this and waiting for our peeps to come home~~

Discovering Strange Neighbors

We love our morning walkies and look forward to them every single day.
 This is the farmer's field where squash was planted earlier this year.   It's just after 7 AM and the full moon hasn't gone to sleep yet~

 This small pine forest has the bestest peemail.   It's so soft under my feets and it used to be angel Maggie's most favorite place to stop and sniff for awhile.  It's mine too!

 Our autumn colors are so pretty this morning!

Mom and I were walking along and look who we discovered at my friend Dakota, the Chocolate Lab's house!

 These scary dudes were in Dakota's front yard too!   We have some new very strange neighbors!

The dogwood trees in front of our house are red!
Why can't the red leaves stay on the trees for Christmas?   It would make the Christmas card even more perfect!

 Mitch got groomed on Sunday.  Doesn't he look happy!

Wild Morning Glory

Remember mom's wild Morning Glory experiment gone bad?  The whole thing started out with a clay pot full of planted seeds at the base of a garden chair. 

The poor Witch Hazel is supporting this entire Morning Glory plant!

This is the other garden chair that's beneath our dining room window.  It doesn't get as much sun here.   This is the way the experiment was supposed to turn out only the flowers are supposed to bloom in August and not wait until past mid-October!
Why do the Morning Glory blooms look square, mom?!

 Somebody help me!  A autumn leaf is stuck on my chacheeeeeeee!!

Swans in the Autumn

We haven't posted about the black swans in awhile because we had another loss and dad asked us please not to.   So we didn't.
The swan house that dad is building is for the black swans. They need shelter in the cold months.  We now have 1 male, Buster  and 2 female blacks, Hazel and Agnes.

Mom has been taking pictures of the black swans in the autumn foliage and we just couldn't not post the beautiful birds in their pond surrounded by gorgeous autumn leaves~

This is Buster - the only male swan on the pond.

 This is Buster and Agnes.  The black swans are native to Australia and it's spring in Australia and breeding season for the blacks.
Neither one of the girls is crazy about Buster's advances so it's next to impossible to get pictures of the three of them together. 

 These are the 2 female blacks, Agnes and Hazel.   Buster is still on the shore close to the water a few feet away. 

And so the white swans don't feel left out~~
Penny and Margaret, the Mutes and Angel, the Whooper.

Angel is a very friendly swan.

 Stay on your best behavior, Molly!

Of course she didn't!

The swan house is coming along beautifully!  We can't wait to show it to you when it's a little bit further along.
