Organizing and Cleaning

Guess what?
We got snow! Mom and I are on our way out to the workshop to help Mitch and dad.Every February, usually the day before the SuperBowl, mom and dad have a pawty for a LOT of people. We call it the Celebration of Life pawty! We're having it again this year on Saturday, February 6th, one week from tomorrow!
Mom and dad have been clearing the workshop of all barn timbers and cleaning and organizing! It'll soon be time for dad to start making his huge pots of yummy soup! We love helping with the food preparation part!

We are having a blast with so much space to run around in!
Uncle Phil is here and he's carving more gorgeous pinwheels in the door timber while Mitch and I have a friendly discussion!

Time to head into the house to fix the boys' lunch!

Please send more snow, SnowGods! This hardly covers my feet! This will never do - we need more!
On an extremely sad note -Our friend, Deetz, lost his brother Sharkie this week. We are absolutely heartbroken for him! If you haven't already, please stop by his blog and leave a word or two. We can only imagine how much he and his family are hurting. Thank you in advance.

So until next time..............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  1. Well at least you have snow Maggie, even if it only covers your feet. We haven't had any yet and are so jealous. That barn looks like a great play space. It is sure to be a great party. We had heard about Sharkie, very sad.

  7. We are waiting and cleaning for the big Ice Storm that the weather man says is headed our way. Muzzer says walkies may be suspended and we will have SAND on the back stairs if they get iced over!

Maggie..sand is for BEACHES! What is going on here!

Oh, if we have dug out, can we come to the pawty?

  10. Maggie, you look so fierce in that video, and I wish I had a brother like Mitch to play with.

P.S. I'll send you some snow from here. I'm a touch shorter than you guys, so a little less snow would be outstanding!

Hootie sat and watched your video with great interest. Not a peep out of him though!
It was heartbreaking what happened to Deetzy's poor brother.Perhaps once the shock wears off we will find out what sort of collar Sharkie was wearing that caused the freak accident. That way we can be careful ourselves.

  26. Maggie and Mitch, your barn so does NOT look like what we think of when we think "barn" - it is just beautiful - look at that floor. We bet everyone has a great time at your pawty - soup sounds good on a cold day like we are having.

We were so very sad to hear about Sharkie - such a horrible accident.

    Happy Friday, Phantom and Thunder

  27. You can always come visit! We've got a fair amount of snow, and are supposed to be getting some more... Plenty to go around!

  33. I'm sorry to hear about Sharkie.

As for that big space, it almost looks big enough for you to try out some doggie dancing!

  34. We know, it's awful news about Sharkies fatal accident. We are heratbroken for Deetz' family also.

We wouldn't be complaining about "the little" amount of snow you have. A tiny weeny bit would do us just fine right about now. It's an absolute stinker of day here and yesterday was too.

Flaked out under the aircon now...

We hope th preps for the party are going smoothly in full swing...

  35. Oh my Maggie, the nerve of your stinky!!!!! He almost look like my STINKY with me except he has more nerve, he talks BACK to you, and I even saw him put his paw on your back at one time (if STINKY did that, he's a dead STINKY!!!). You sound like me too, just plain annoyed. Except mum says you have more patience than me. I would have put STINKY down until he calms down before I let go of him (once I let go, he bounces to his feet and starts all over again....).

Yes, we're REALLY lacking snow here, they're "relocating" snow, and dumping them on top of the straw piles that they have put up for the Olympics alpine skiing courses!!!!!!

Mum hasn't made the parmesan chicken yet because she said she's been "busy", but your dad's soup sounds HMM HMM YUMMYYY! Mum loves soups!!

    Love nibbles,
    Miss Sunshade

  37. We hate it when we fall this far behind! But we're catching up. What a great thing, The Celebration of Life. We'll be anxious to read about it. Soup, huh? And lots of friends? Sounds like our kind of party.

Jake says to say, "Impressive conversation! You just woke me from my slumber! Popped my head right up, I did."

Pee esS. We DID know about Sharkie and were able to stop by his bloggie. It's so very very sad. We feel really bad for his family.

  38. I'm excited about seeing you kids in action! All skippy and woofy! Hahahah!!

But then, the feeling nosedived when I learnt about Sharkie. It must be so painful for the family.

    Be good there, play nice.
