Mom and I had so much fun making the Pannettone last week in the bread machine that we decided to make a cheese bread! We're on a bread roll!The first thing we did was to grate the cheddar cheese~
The recipe calls for ground mustard! Okay!
This is the recipe in case anyone wants to make it:
Mix in the order given:
1 1/3 cup milk
1 1/3 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 Tablespoon butter, sliced into smaller bits
4 cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 Tablespoon yeast
We're pushing the start button and we'll check back inside the house in 3 1/2 hours!
Dad and mom are making a cherry log tree brace out in the workshop and Maggie and Mitch are supervising! It's for the Crump barn project. There's going to be a tree in the barn!
It sure does smell good in our kitchen today - just like freshly baked cheese bread!We can't wait to slice into it!

Hmmmm! It's at times like these that I wish my computer screen had a scratch and sniff feature! That cheese bread has me licking the screen in anticipation. There are always the best things coming out of your kitchen!

ooooh,,,,scratch and sniff sounds like a great idea. Maybe Petey will figure it out for us. We makes biscuits with cheese and garlic ( and sometimes jalapeno peppers) but we think we should try the bread too.
