Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!
Guess what came in yesterday's mail?
The Park seed catalog! It has daisies all over the front of it and it's making me want summer and heat!Check out this marigold. It's called Mumsy yellow! Are you seeing this, Lacie?
It says mumsy has 4 inch blooms! Wow!
This plant is called Easter Egg! It says that the eggs that grow on this plant are actual-size eggs and they come in pretty colors - cream, yellow, orange and green.
I wonder if chickens know about this! hummmmmm
Pumpkin on a stick? Now I'm really confused!
Chocolate cherry tomatoes? What a strange color tomato! I wonder if Maggie and Mitch can have those?
Gosh, what will they think of next?
Here's something that really looks cool! White baby pumpkins with orange stripes! I definitely need to grow some of these! How pretty!
This catalog is putting me in a happier mood and thinking that spring isn't really THAT far away!
See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn
Woohoo for Spring! You're going to have lots of planting to do, Autumn! We sure do like that egg plant thingy!

I'm in a better mood now too! Pumpkins on sticks, easter eggs... but you mentioned chickens.. ah ah... I hope shaked and baked!

Sigh. We order things from those catalogs, but somehow in our yard, with momma's questionable supervision, they never turn out like in the pictures.

Ooh, I can't wait for spring either, Autumn! All this snow keeps me from playing football.
ReplyDeleteA much more wholesome sign of spring than the bathing suit catalogs that keep showing up here!! Love those egg-plants! Much easier than keeping track of stinky chickens for sure BOL!!

Good that you are interested in gardening:) The veggie-prices are sky-high here...and these two can't survive without stuffing themselves with all that you see in those beautiful pictures. I'd rather eat chicken!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I couldn't understand the angle...that red flower? Is it on your ear?
Licks n wags,
Oorvi
Maybe that's what we need. A seed catalog. It will be a looooonnnnnnggggg time before there's color in our world again. 'Cept for the blue skies.

Now Miss Autumn, will you be helping your hoomans plant some seeds in Spring? That hat will be great for gardening. Cool.
ReplyDeleteOur mommy bought some more bulbs in October and the next day we had snow (up in Idaho) and the ground was too hard to plant. They're in the refrigerator up there now hoping to not rot b4 we get 'em planted in Spring.

I think one of those seeds landed on your head, cos you've got a pretty flower growing there!
ReplyDeleteSonic
We start are seeds in February. The little babies usually go out in April!! When you start a seed and see it come up in the soil it does become your baby! All our babies gave a lot of good food last spring, summer, fall, and even a few days in winter!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your vists, Bambi & Fern
Cool! Those marigolds look like tiny sunflowers!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,

I bought a book like yours recently! It probably only has half the pictures, therefore half good. I love learning about plants and wrecking brains on what to plant, and looking forward to Spring. Am I not a lot like you? =P
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving that Apricot rose like your mama!
