No Treat Experts

We're back with our treat machine! No, we haven't learned how to use it yet!

We were at Sunshade's blog and we saw that Jaffa had learned how to use his treat machine because it had something yummy in it that appealed more to him than just plain old kibble so mom got Corn Pops for us. I can have this kind of treat with my compromised kidneys so mom is happy about that!

Do you think if we stare at it long enough, a Corn Pop will pop out?
We're really being extremely patient with this stoopid treat machine! Why doesn't it reward us?!
Hello - I'm waiting! You can send it down the shoot any time now!
Hey, it worked! The treat machine listened to me, Mitch! Excuse me but we needed two treats and not just one!
Mom has been working with us but so far, we're just not getting it! We both will raise our paws but hitting on it hard enough to send the Corn Pops out hasn't happened yet!
We'll keep working on it!

I was in the kitchen tonight fooling with the treat machine and guess what? I used my nose and pushed down on the bone handle and got a freebie Corn Pop! Mom and dad witnessed the whole thing but naturally, the camera was at the other end of the house! I'm getting it - I'm really getting it and I'm smarter than Mitch! HAHA
Mom told me to keep practicing because practice makes perfect!

Our friends, Thunder and Dakota gave us this very yummy Sweet Friends Award! Thank you so very much, guys! You are pretty sweet friends to us too!

Hmm. I learned how to use the ice cube maker in the magic cold box, and I think this method could work for you, too. Stand by the device and stare at your mom or dad. Use the saddest expression in your arsenal. Repeat as needed.
Works like a charm here!
PS: congrats on our award!

Congratulations on your award!
I know that must be so challenging trying to get those treats out.
My moms said it is a good thing we do not have one , or i would be trying to get treats all day.

You brighten our day too :) Hey, guys, did you know there's dog pop corn? Yup, some human came up with it.

Sunshade said...

Maggieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! I knew you could do it (and before your stinky..LOL). Its good that you can have corn pops and not have to worry about your kidneys.

Yesterday, a plumber came and I barked at him loud and clear. So mum decided to put my treat machine down so I can stop guarding (I woudln't let him go UP stairs, that's where mum sleeps). Then she forgot about it, and I clean out the treat machine! It was more than half fulllllllll!!! Lucky me! STINKY was at daycare, so I didn't have to share!

Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Who hoo on getting the treat! I'd loose interest if I couldn't get one. Nice award... and of course ICE CREAM and PIZZA are list toppers. We knew that!!!

Sally said...

Nice treat machine - we aren't sure if we could do it - eventually I would tip it over and bash it open against the wall. I used to have a Kong - but I discovered if I threw it against a hard surface the treats popped out - I would sometimes miss and knock things off the coffee table. So now we have Kongs only when we are supervised. No fun!

Hey M&M,
Youse guys are smart enough that you'll get it. We HAD one of those exact same treat machines but not one of us was smart enough to work it so it became a source of frustration and mom got sick of having to work it all of the time and finally she made dad but it out in the garage where it probably still resides. It's much easier for us just to do a gang barkarthon and point at the treat cupboard. We get the same result and it's a lot easier than figuring out how to push down on that big gray bone thingy.

Sue said...

Thanks, Guys.
We'll post it in a couple days, as soon as we make our list. Since there are ten of us, Mom says we can each choose one thing.

Thank you, thank, thank you to think of us as day-brightening.

We will do a thank you post soon and perhaps by then your are full experts of that treat machine.

Pinkie tried to organise one of those for Inky's birthday later in the month but the company wouldn't get back to her. Can you believe it?
Not everyone ships to Australia either, apparently...
