Run Free Oscar

There are no words to describe how devastated we are at this horribly sad news about our best Aire-buddy Oscar.
Oscar and I starting blogging together about the same time in December of last year. Oscar was only 6 months old and I was eight.

He was one of the first doggies to sign my blog. And for the past 8 months, I don't think Oscar ever missed commenting on my postings. He's always been a true friend. I honestly don't know how we're going to get through our day without reading about Oscar's daily adventures in England with his mum and dad.

We're so very proud of you Oscar. You did all of us Airedales proud by acing every single obedience class you entered and everything you set out to do! You and your mom worked so hard together and it showed! Your mom has done one terrific job!

You are one true Aire-friend Oscar. You sent me the most beautiful pink collar and leash set for my nineth birthday and I will treasure it always. My heart is breaking for your mum and dad and your two little sisters and yes, even Flakes. He'll miss you too Oscar.

Run free my sweet Aire-boy. There will never be another Oscar! You're the one and only!

We love you.

Maggie and Mitch

  5. We are sooo, sooo very sad & we wish Mom's eye would stop leaking on us. He was still a baby...life is not fair sometimes. Oscar did you Aire-dogs proud. And we were all very lucky to have known him.

  6. Hi Maggie...Yes we did hear about Oscar. You're right, it's a very sad day. I keep reading all the tributes to him and we get emotional all over again. Your tribute is wonderful. We had only recently become friendly with Oscar in the last few weeks. But even in that short time we knew he was a special guy.

We know that Oscar was a special friend of yours Maggie and we are sorry for you too.

People might think we are strange that we can be so touched by something like this by only communicating via our blogs but we really do care about each other. That's what we are all about.

I'm glad that Oscar was special to you and we wish we had more time with him to get to know him even better.

We'll be sticking close to our Mom and Dad's tonight, won't we?

Love, Seadra, Zoe and Mom (Jessica)

  13. Like you say, there'll never be another Oscar. He was the first ever Airedale, I've ever met. And, he was even more special in person.
I'm going to miss not meeting him again, getting his regular comments & laughing @ his blog antics too.
It's awful, the tears still keep whelling up.
    Poor, poor Kay.

Pats & pats to you both.
    Best wishes to mom.

  20. Thank you for your lovely tribute. You and Oscar were blogging twinnies, both starting so close together. We are hurting so so badly now and just cannot understand why our healthy bouncy puppy had to go so soon and so fast. Knowing how much he was loved and will be missed is some comfort. When we are a little less sad we will update his blog so please call by.
