Preparing for Maggie's Birthday

Hi everybody - it's Mitch! I'm posting on Maggie's blog today because we have big birthday plans!
Today is the day that mom and I are baking Maggie's birthday cake and making home made frosty paws!

We all went for our two mile walkie early this morning and right after we had our water break, Maggie went out to the workshop with dad and mom and I tied our aprons on! We're using basically the same cake recipe that Dory's mom made for her.
First thing we did was grate the carrots. The recipe called for a whole cup of them!
Mom put the peanut butter in next and here's me licking the butter knife so none gets wasted!
Here's the batter all mixed up. We added a few blueberries too! Doesn't it look just scrumptious?!I'm licking the spoon to make sure that it's sweet enough for the birthday girl! Yup, just right mom!
Mom and I decided on individual muffin-sized cakes instead of one big one. I'm watching them bake. Boy do they ever smell yummy! Maggie is going to be so surprised!
While the mini-birthday cakes were baking, mom and I whipped up some home made frosty paws for the freezer. We tossed some blueberries in here too!
Gotta sample this too and make sure it's just to her highness's liking! ummmmmmmmmm wonderful!
The cupcakes are out of the oven and cooling and we're mixing up the frosting.
Mom and I decided to mix cream cheese and peanut butter together. I couldn't help myself. I dove into the mixing bowl! oops!
TaDa!!!!! What do you think? The decorations are treats that Faya sent Maggie for her birthday! How appropriate is this! The kitchen sure does smell awesome! Maggie is sure to know something's up as soon as she walks through that door! shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -it's our birthday secret!
I can't wait till tomorrow to eat them!

Mom keeps telling me that I'm sure a good helper in the kitchen! Thanks mom - my pleasure!

So until tomorrow, when the big day arrives.................

Love ya lots and lots,

Mitchy Boy
